"The Westfield Homeless Cat Project is a non- profit 501(c)(3) cat/kitten rescue located in Westfield Massachusetts.
We are approved and registered with the Massachusetts Department of Agriculture.
We are a no-kill rescue for cats and kittens that have beenclost/found, abandoned, abused and surrendered.
We do not discriminate against cats because of age, or illness provided medical care is manageable.
Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home cats and kittens that have been abandoned, abused, surrendered, or just simply left to die.
We will use our resources to save and re-home these animals.
We will be their voice as they can not speak for themselves.
Our shelter is staffed by a network of volunteers andcsurvives completely on private donations, adoptioncfees, tag sale revenue and an occasional fundraiser.
We receive absolutely no federal funding, state funding or grants.
The Westfield Homeless Cat Project runs 24/7 and has been the temporary home to thousands of cats and kittens. These cats and kittens come here in every shape and size and in every condition imaginable. Some are starving, some are injured some have simply been left to die; the lucky ones are the ones surrendered because their former owner can no longer care for them and has taken the time to find shelter for them while they await their forever homes."

My mom just adopted a cat from there a month ago. THANK YOU SO MUCH for posting this on your site.
JohnnyD can eat a dick, Perez, thank you for posting this.
Some of the best animals I've had have been adopted.
i got my cat there 2 years ago, he's so lucky to have a nice home now! my only hope is that the rest of the kittens and cats can find nice homes too!
I've found cats and gave them a home and love, then gave them to the shelter so they get adopted quicker, if i can't take care of them. All my cats(3) are ones who were found and hurt, so I take care of them. (:
Thank you so much for posting it Perez… you Rock…and we are grateful. My friend Khris Hamel suggested I send it to you. She adopted her cat from there and since then we are helping out with the project!!!
IF PEOPLE WOULD JUST SPAY AND NEUTER THEIR CATS THERE WOULDN'T BE A NEED FOR THIS!! HUMANS REALLY NEED TO WAKE UP ALREADY WHERE CATS AND DOGS ARE CONCERNED!!
GO PETA!
awwwwwwwww… I wish I could save every animal in the world. I love animals more then people…
This organization is amazing - I adopted an adorable kitten from them in April. Thanks for giving them the publicity, they are worth it!!!
Re: 6one9 – Of course pets should be spayed or neutered, but don't be so self-righteous as to take your opinion out on the poor shelter animals that need help now!
If y'all want cats to adopt, come to my neighborhood! Everyone around here feels like they can let/leave their cats outside all the time, and as a result of the few that aren't fixed, we are drowning in feral cats. And we don't have an ASPCA here, but the animal shelter is very willing to give you a trap, for $50, to catch cats in and then take to the shelter - that's 15 miles away. Pain in the ass.
ohhhh finally an institution to help cats!! if i was millionare i would give all the money i could to protect animals especially cats!1 please help them!!
bw the cat looks exactly like my cat boris
Re: LDD – me too! i don't know why there are so many instituions to help people, animals need help more than humans!!! i hate people!
I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE CATS!
I wish more and more people would give to organizations like these. Our animals are soo important, and they dont have a voice.
I adopted one of my cats from a local shelter (not the same organization, but same credo) 5 years ago. He was already fully grown and had some (managable) health problems. Many shelter would have just put him down and that would have been such a sad loss to catdom. These shelters are incredibly under-funded and their resources are so limited but they try to do the best they can with whatever they have. They're doing a truly wonderful thing.
omgosh…that looks EXACTLY like my cat. woahh!
As a proud cat momma I approve. Thank you, Perez for promoting animal causes. Much love!!
I have a cat and i'm considering taking another one, which i've always known will be from a cat rescue house.
