Re: mandicane – I answer in the tone that's directed. I'm VERY for gay rights in all aspects. But the attitudes of some posters with the "me, me, me" is not the way to get things done. Many compare it to incomparable struggles. Even then, for example, black people in their struggles for rights didn't "I'm black and that's a fact, now deal with it". They marched peacefully when it mattered. They used education as their tools. When they refused to work, refused to ride the bus - it hit THEIR pocketbooks, THEIR food on the table - they sacrificed to gain. They stood in solidarity, period. If the argument is used, then we should take a page from it. There wasn't special interest groups, releasing conflicting statements, throwing up colors everywhere and were not "in your face", but rather IN FRONT of your face.

This fellow is NOT a Catholic priest. The "Church" he is part of is actually the Columbus Community of Charity Independent Old Catholic Church, and is not affiliated in any way with the Roman Catholic Church in communion with the Pope. Move along… nothing to see here but anti-Catholic bigotry…
He is not a part of the Roman Catholic Church and his church is not in communion with the See of Rome. The man, Vincent Capretta, is not a Roman Catholic. He is a member of the schismatic Old Catholic Church.

Hmmmm, I'm Catholic so I figured I better check this guys parish and diocese. Well, looks like no one cares about facts, just sensationalism and bigotry. This guy has been "out" since the 1980's, and the Catholic "Church" he is part of is actually the Columbus Community of Charity Independent Old Catholic Church, an "all-inclusive and welcoming congregation" …. yadda, yadda, you know the story (actually, oddly-enough, attendance at their "masses" are "open only to membership." So much for being inclusive).
