Glambert World Premiere!!!!!
It's here! The first single off Adam Lambert's forthcoming album, On With The Show, which is expected to be released later this summer.
The song is called Want, and it leaves us doing just that - wanting more.
It's a pretty mid-tempo song, definitely leaning more towards pop than rock. We like it, but it lacks the personality that made Glambert such a superstar on American Idol.
Adam sounds great on the song, but it's just not that memorable. Or so we think.

Apparently, this album WILL be released this summer, which we thought was VERY quick. However, we've just learned that the songs on it were recorded in 2007 and 2008, before Lambert was on American Idol.
It's being released by a label other than the one he signed to after he came in 2nd on the show.
Wonder what he thinks about a whole album of old material being released????

I love Adam, but I have to say I disappointed after listened this song. To me, it sounds like a cousin of 'no boundaries' +'One', it's so not new, not unique,too ordinary(hate to say it). Adam, if this is your first single to kick off a new career, you need to take more time… there is no need to rush yourself… as your fan, I am expecting a superstar quality first single from Adam Lambert. well, it's only my opinion
I just read Adam's statement about the true of this so-called new single. It wasn't new single at all. Whoever posted this song or leaked this to the public, shame on you!!!

i will not buy it, i think american idol should burn their bridges with him, since he's been so shady, and being under a label at the time he was in the competition is clearly against the rules. he's just trying to get ahead and he doesnt care who he hurts or embarasses on his way there

Adam is as sincere and honest as they come. He was NOT under any label. Years ago he did studio singing to pay some bills. They are the shady ones. Can't believe Wilshire Records just today took the song off their website - it was sung by 2 other singers under the song name December. LOL. The whole thing is ridiculous. Poor Adam.

It is catchy and fun, and it shows off some of his vocals, but we know he can do so much more. There is so much more that he has in store for us, and those who are already won over know this. It is reminiscent 80's, but like I said, catchy and fun. I think it could be a good foundation for something a little more interesting. I think Adam is definitely on the short list of contemporary celebrities that knows what's up when it comes to creativity, style, and marketing himself. He's gonna do just FIIINE people!

I think this album will be kind of a stop gap for fans who are wearing out the iTunes downloads of the American Idol tracks. Not THE album, but something new for everyone who has listened to "Mad World" like 375,723 times.
I'm going to buy it just for that reason. As to whether Adam likes having his old tracks coming out as a disc, he's probably not surprised, he strikes me as someone who's very marketing-savvy, so it was predictable the other, smaller record company would jump on the chance to release his tracks while he's getting so much media coverage.

He sounded like a Broadway singer on Idol…they had to hold him back on his vocal. A great singer should not show-boat too much…because their audience can't sing along with them, the reason why so many singers who are not the greatest singers tend to out perform the better singers in sales. This song however wants to be great but is lacking. It is a faux Beatles track, however unlike the Beatles, it has no heart or soul, it is just a copycat put out there for cynical reasons, to sale records, one not written from real emotions, you can tell the difference. PS: His screaming at the end…defeats the purpose of the toned down opening, and middle of the song…and went really Broadway on us. Too bad!!!

At first, I thought it was dull, despite Adam's beautiful voice, but after re-listening to it, I thought it was really catchy. it's a beautiful song, despite the lyrics, but I won't buy it unless Adam profits from it. I don't want anybody taking advantage of him.

The songs not bad and I like Adam.
But, if radio plays that and hasn't played Elliott Yamin's song Fight For Love, then I'm gonna be pissed off! They're both "love anthems." Guess that's the difference between indie and major label. If Adam goes this route, me thinks he's gonna lose some fans. I figured he'd go alt rock or Lady GaGa-ish at least. Oh well, good luck to him!
Adam is not happy that his old songs are being released. He says it is not the music he is doing now and were recorded for other people to make a buck. I read this info on E! and other places. Everyone wants a piece of him.
Poor Adam, he's already signed to the devil. 19/Sony have brutal contracts and he'll only earn a few pennies an album anyway. Perhaps this is the BEST thing to happen to him!! Almost all Indie labels work on a 50/50 basis. Wouldn't surprise me if Glambert makes a killing!! You lucky boy!

I like it. I like Adam's pop sound. The rock screaming gets to me after a while. He's very talented so he should do both.
