Plea Bargain Reached For Chris Brown Case

| Filed under: RihannaLegal MattersChris Brown

Coward. Epic coward.

A plea bargain has been accepted in the assault case against douchebag Chris Brown.

Brown's plea deal will require him to spend 180 days in a labor domestic violence program and get five years probation for felony assault.

If he violates his probation in any way, he'll get four years in prison.

Rihanna did not appear in court today and thus did not testify.

What do U think of the court's decision? Was it fair? Too tough or too lenient?

riri did show up - she was there :)

  2. 2

    ewwww chriss brownnnn

  3. 3

mmm… its pretty fair without rihannas testimony… but given the chance to hear her side of it i would prob feel differently.

  4. 4

    bulls hit! 1st!

  5. 5

    WAY too fucking lenient!

  6. 6

wow perez this is whyyyyy you get beat up. stop it with the name calling… i mean if you wanna blog about drama do that, but really why call him a coward?? i'm not saying what he did was a good thing, its just that you making posts like this that are overtly sarcastic and clearly biased are the reason why you're getting beat up.

  7. 7

    I knew this animal
    would not get caged
    and that the bitch
    would not
    Just like OJ,
    He'll eventually fuck up
    and get what he deserves.

  8. 8

Shoulda thrown the book at him.

  9. 9

i think its fair … probation is a bitch lol…. but he a celeb… u know his probation is going to be very leniant…

  10. 10

Probably about right, Even tho he is a dirt bag I believe the punishment fits the crime in this case.

i agree perez his a coward, he deserves to go to jail, but you got it wrong he is doing hard labour for 6 months not a violence program
    he should go to jail
well at least hes a convicted felon now

  12. 12

Bullshit! Rihanna sucks! she deserves to get her ass kicked! I am disappointed w the plea agreement. it was obivous he beat her and he deserves to be in jail! I have NO respect for a woman that allows a man that beat her to remain free!

  13. 13

  14. 14

WHY did Rihanna not appear in court?

I knew the douche wouldn't get a day of jail time, but the 180 day camp seems like it could maybe be useful, maybe. Still. Beating a woman to a pulp is cowardly and wrong and vile, and he should have admitted his guilt. Hopefully this will kill his "music career" for good.

  15. 15

better quit ur dope smokin chris now ur on pro! suck2bu.
hey now he can start smokin the pole. women beater

  16. 16

  17. 17

he, like you, is a suck and an idiot…

  18. 18

Classic! Now you're starting to edit any and all comments.

  19. 19

    sounds good to me

  20. 20

if it were any other girls man that pulled that shit… he SO would have done TIME! 2 lenient… nice example judge. now these fools won't think twice.

  21. 21

Coward? So was he supposed to WANT to go to jail?!

  22. 22

  23. 23

Get it right Perez. He is on 5 years supervised probation, 180 days of "hard labor" in his home state of Virginia, which translates to Cal Trans work, or picking up paper on the side of the road here in California. He must also complete a domestic violence awareness program, stay at least 50 yards away from her, not contact her and pay a fine.

  24. 24

I wish she would have testified, so we could all know what really happened. As for me being a woman, I can fully say if I ever put my hands on my husband I should expect for us to go toe to toe. Those of you who say he should have walked away, don't realize when someone is being pushed over the edge, you just might snap. Anyway they are both young and this should be a huge wake up call for the both of them.

  25. 25

And so ends the story of Chris and RiRi….
now begins the endless posts about Mario and Will I.Am

  26. 26

I think it is fair being the fact that Rihanna didn't even think it was important to testify against her "attackers". If someone did something like that to me, no matter how painful it would be, I would be there to defend my side of the story and make sure that justice is served. Rihanna should be ashamed.

  27. 27

shes a coward for not showing up and a dumbass
but i still like her lol
    cris is plain nasty

  28. 28

It's his first offense, so they are usually lenient. Hey Chris–don't hit girls any more, ya pu**y!!!

  29. 29

I think it would've been more harsh if Rihanna testified.. what a bitch.

  30. 30

if rihanna didnt show up i wanna say i knew it if she did i'll shut up

  31. 31

    i think she was there

  32. 32

douche. throw him in jail please.

  33. 33

nice job judge… now douche bags won't think twice about a beat down. But Ri- all yo drama 4 nada. both r a panty waste.

  34. 34

    rihanna lost all my respect

  35. 6one9 says – reply to this

Bet He'll be in prison before YA know it. 180 days of hard labor and 5 yrs probation. He'll fuck up!!! FOR SURE!!! lol's at the douche`bag!!

  36. 36

i wish she would have testified. at least his career is tarnished/over. i know i wont buy anything form him again.

  37. 37

rihanna was there and she is the one who approved the deal so if you have a problem with it blame her.

  38. 38

He admitted guilt. That's the bottom line. I don't like it but it's better than nothing. I think they were really scared the police photos of Rihanna all beaten up and bloody, would be made public in a trial. They were also really worried about her and what she would say. So FINALLY, Chris Brown plead guilty and got sentenced. Since this is his first out in public police type criminal offense, he got probation. I would love to see what "labor" they sentenced him to. I hope they have him shoveling shit! LOL! The Domestic violence classes were a given. The fact he gets to go to prison of he violates his probation and commits anothe felony, means he now has a felony conviction ON THE RECORD. Yes. Chris Brown pleaded guilty to a felony and he is on probation for something that could net him four years in jail. I love it. Andyou know he hangs around with nothing but thugs so he will probably get busted in about 6 months for something else. Yessss.

  39. 39

I cant believe it! Thats all he gets? Guess fame can do wonders!

  40. 40

disgusting. he should've done some time. hopefully he'll screw his probation up so he'll know what it feels like to be beaten when he somebody's bitch.

  41. 41

    fuck that loser.

  42. 42

DIRTY SHAME!! Got off easy! SOOOOOO O.J.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  43. 43

they went to easy on him. He should be forced to do at least 30 days in jail. You dont beat women..punk ass.

  44. 44

this is Bull shit he should have gotten jail time but noo he is off th hook just because of who he is and what dose he get "probation"..he is such an ass….

  45. roxkc says – reply to this

again u got it wrong, she was in the court house ready to testify, but due to the plea bargain she testifying was not necessary

  46. 46

Way too lenient!!! His ass should have spent a year in jail for that shit!

  47. 47

  48. 48

For a first time offender, its a classic punishment. But if he f*cks up a 2nd time he can kiss his butt goodbye, literally, lol.

  49. 49

I think he got off easy. Bust up a girl's face, get a slap on the wrist. I knew he'd get off light.

  50. 50

It pays to have money for a high profile attorney. This is BS he deserved some jail time!

  51. LBaby says – reply to this

    too lenient, def

  52. 52

    too lenient

  53. 53

i can't believe he is not in jail..that is so annoying..he deserves so much more than that

  54. 54

wayy too lenient. if he was anyone else they'd get him

  55. 55

He needed to serve some time. This is just a slap on the wrist for him. Lucky bastard! Another example of the fucked up system in cali. So wrong!

  56. 56

    No big shock

  57. 57

I work in Domestic Violence Court, and for a first time offender he got slammed. Oh well, he should have took it to jury.

  58. 58

I think if you were him, you would have pled, too! Do you know what they do with bawling ass babies like you in prison? And maybe she was not going to testify or plead the 5th, and he would have gotten off scot-free. So I think they did the only thing they could probably do in this situation.

  59. 59

I am beyond done with this asshole. Why the hell are they letting him off so light?! He SHOULD have his ass in jail for what he did. Probation my ass!

  60. 60

Please stop projecting, your cases are NOT the same

  61. 61

This is about normal for this kind of incident with a first offender. I'm surprised it ws this harsh considering his hot shot lawyer.

  62. 62

That isn't that light! It's his first offense! people down here get away with one year probation and maybe anger management classes! I think they did a good job! especially since they didn't have riri's testimony

  63. 63

Hmmm i think it's prety fair.

  64. 64

WOW PEREZ U OF ALL PEOPLE RIGHT NOW SHOULD be sensitive to the fact that SHE hit him first!!!! Rihanna is the coward. DONT HIT PEOPLE AND U WONT GET HIT BACK!!!!!!!!!! She should be fined and or serving community service for her craziness right along side Chris. Violence sucks but don't get mad when ur dumb ass gets knocked out for hitting someone else and especially a man. Women are not stronger then men so before u start a fight please consider the possibility that u might end up looking as jacked up as Rihanna!!!!!!

  65. 65

I can't believe all you people who think he would have been put in jail. What world are you living in? No first offender would get jail time for this type of crime…duh. if that was the case we'd have a prison on every street corner to hold everyone.

  66. 66

"They" weren't lenient. Rihanna had to agree with the plea deal for a deal to be entered into the court. Her lawyer entered that she allowed the plea deal. If she had to testify - she'd end up looking like the bad chick for starting the hitting. Violence is not okay, but if you step up to a man and swing, you should be ready to get swung at.

  67. 67

ri was there. she came in thru the parking garage & was in the judges chambers. she didnt testify because they didn't need her to! they made a deal! i HOPE HE FUCKS UP SO THEY CAN LOCK HIS ASS UP!!!

  68. 68

    Re: Monique505 – fail

  69. 69

shes such a fucking dumb ass….WHAT THE FUCK???? 180 days in a fucking program???? FUCK him and fuck her to for sending a shitty message to all her young fans.

    this makes me sick

  70. 70

Re: BellaDavis He actually got a worse sentence for a first time offender. Aside from my previous comment - it's crappy when so many comment on this or that and don't even know how the court system of the punishments work, nor the full story behind it. I don't like him, I don't like her - but SHE accepted the plea deal - if you are going to whine about someone giving it to him light - whine about HER acceptance.

  71. 71

    He deserves prison.
    You do NOT hit women.

  72. 72

are you gonna testify when your trial comes up, Perez? lmao

  73. 73

chris know he fucked up that's why he didn't try to fight it plus he didn't want anyone to "take him down" in jail. sounds like a slap on the wrist to me.

  74. Rynne says – reply to this

    Pretty incredibly lenient.

  75. 75

I think it was too lenient. They should have looked his ass up for twenty years, and thrown away the key, if you ask me.

  76. 76

Perfect for him, everyone deserves a second chance if he fucks up again throw the book at him.

  77. 77

    at least she showed up

  78. 78

Way too lenient, how can they expect to stop domestic violence if this is all they give out. For fucks sake, they give out harsher punishments for marijuana possession.

  79. EricT says – reply to this

Re: lemonbird "Since this is his first out in public police type criminal offense, he got probation."

Um, a black guy beats a girl bloody and threatens to kill her, and gets probation? *rofl* If this was ANYBODY ELSE, he would be in jail right now. Pays to be a celebrity in a country with a corrupt legal system.

  80. 80

that sentence is way too tough!!… 5 years is a REALLY LONG TIME and the whole sentence is just way extreme. they act like he's been abusing her the whole relationship. it was ONE TIME and she hit first. she's such a fucking idiot and a loser, i hate her so much!!

  81. 81

    He got off easy…$$$.

  82. 82

Well I personally think the court's decision was pretty fair. I mean when you work with law enforcement you have to very blunt with your decisions, and you can't base it on how much you loved this celebrity's album or how much you hated that one. So looking at the situation all Chris Brown did was beat his girlfriend up. Don't get me wrong it was very wrong and he's a mega douchebag, but It's not like he stabbed her or anything along the lines of that. He just gave her an ass whopping. And If I ever lost my cool with anyone I would only hope not to get a bigger sentence than the one Chris received. It would have been cool to actually see him in prison though. For a couple of months anyway….

  83. 83

Argh! Get your facts straight! Rihanna was there AND ready to testify, but the plea bargain was struck before the hearing started. And so Rihanna didn't have to testify. Plus, all you haters: Rihanna is not the one that struck a plea bargain, so stop being so ignorant!

  84. 84

Weak. They let him off way, way too easy.

  85. 85

    Rihanna is a dumb ass!

  86. 86

Firsst time offenders USUALLY get away with not doing jail time and get probation, although he did plea guilty to a felony. Most first time offenders get charges dropped to a misdemeanors. So in some way they were not completely lenient on him. Felonies suck!!

  87. Cedon says – reply to this

It's BS, but that's what happens when you have money to buy your freedom.

  88. 88

she did hit him first, so where is here workcamp and 5 yrs. probation.?

  89. 89

    Fuck chris brown!

  90. 90

Epic coward? Quit talking about yourself Perez.

  91. 91

MOTHER EFFERRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait till he violates his probation and drops the soap in the prison shower

  92. 92

I personally think it's just fine for many reasons. 1st of all she never pressed charges and she didn't even show up to testify against him. 2nd no one knows what really happened that night but those two. I don't think we know the whole story. 3rd I wish people wouls let this go already, how long has the media drawn this out. 4th if she was just some regular girl from around the way, nobody would care, and the story would have aired for two day

  93. 93

    Re: jessica_martsan – I agree.

  94. 94

Re: Suzy G – coward for not owning up to his bullshit.

  95. 95

    Re: Rickneeds2kno

How do u compare oj with chris brown dumb ass..? A slap verses cold blooded murder..yea your an idiot.

  96. 96

now chris can tell his side of the story.

  97. 97

Re: TooAnnoyedTooCare – shut the fuck up . . .

  98. 98

Ah, yes, the good ol' double standard. She assaults him first, he assaults her in retaliation, and he's the only one being punished. They BOTH deserve to do time for their stupidity. All this bullshit about "never put your hands on a woman", it should be "never put your hands on another PERSON", period. Lock her ass up, too.

  99. 99

Rihanna WAS THERE YOU DUMB SHIT! Stop crying about being punched in the fucking face and do some research you idiot.

  100. 100

She struck first apparently, and I believe she out weighs him and is taller than him, and who knows if she ever hit him before. His issue was he went overboard, and for that he should have to do the 180 days, and be on probation. I think the deal is more than fair. If he does it again however, then the four years in prison will be more than justified.

    Double standards blow.

If she did hit him first, why isn't anyone prosecuting her? Is it somehow ok for a woman to hit a man, but not vice versa? There's a lot of hypocrisy when it comes to women wanting equality. And it paints a bad picture for the poor lil children out there ;) . They should be taught all forms of violence bad, regardless of gender.
