Jon & Kate Not Really Separated For Years!
We just can't get enough of bitchy Kate Gosselin and her pushover "husband" Jon.
After their "life-changing" episode aired Monday night, viewers found out the couple had filed for divorce.
But, reports earlier today stated that the two had actually been separated for almost two years - leaving everyone to believe they were only doing the show for the money. Duh.
Turns out, though, when Kate or her people filled out the divorce papers, they checked the option that stated the couple has lived separate and apart for two years. That would allow for a divorce pretty soon.
But checking that option just means she has to wait, or has already waited, two years since deciding the marriage was over and they were living separate lives. Even sleeping in different bedrooms could prove they had separate lives and would allow for the divorce to take place right away.
She also checked the option which requires a 90 day period after the papers have been served. Meaning, after 90 days, once she and Jon agree the marriage is over, the divorce can take place.
Basically she checked every option available to get the quickest option for a divorce.
But from what we've seen of her on TV, we're hoping Jon signs those papers ASAP!

Seriously, what is up with these two! I used to watch the show because they looked like a real family. But then came all the freebies–the trips, the teeth whitening, the hawaii vacation…kate and her oompa loompa orange tan and what is up with that hairstyle! Did she get her do from Edward Scissorhands? The two of them need to grow up. If they were doing it all for the kids, they would have quit the show a long time ago…but then they would have had to get real jobs….pluease…be real parents like everyone else in the world….
I don't know why Kate is the martyr. Jon is not a victim. He cheated. She may be bossy, and uptight, but I always looked at that family as Kate plus 9. Jon was a child. And his behavior has shown as much. Not to say they are not both shameless when it comes to the fact that they are putting the show and the money they earn before their own kids. But Kate isn't the only one at fault and it bugs me how everyone is trying to make her out to be the monster while he gets to cheat and fool around, and play victim.

Doesn't necessarily mean they were actually separated…my ex and I marked the same even though we had only been physically separated for 1 year. We counted mental separation. 90 days didn't come fast enough, as I'm sure will be the case for these two.

I have 2 say that I USED to feel bad for John– not any more. He is so over having 8 kids. If he really put his kids first he wouldn't be looking for an apartment in NYC. I created a profile to say this: Kate is not without blood on her hands (she was really nasty and emasculating) but Jon is a pathetic coward who is abandoning his kids to recapture his 'mis-spent' youth. He got married when he was 23 - so the eff what? Kate didn't force him to have a million kids with her. He is checking out $4,000/month apts in the cheesiest bldg in Manhattan while she cries her eyes out at their home in Pennsylvania. Eff him.
Jon is NOT the victim here! He's a weak loser. I NEVER watch that show but did last night to see what the hoopla was all about. I was blown away by how well she handles all of those kids and how she seemed to be a really great Mother. I was shocked by how clear it was that she seems like an Adult and how immature Jon seems. I wish I had watched the show sooner but under the scrutiny that Kate has been getting, I thought that she had a ton of class. I didn't expect to like her when I turned on the show but when the show ended, I had so much respect for her.

Kate never bathed the children before they were 5, Jon did all of the bedtime stuff and Jon was the one to dress them all. Kate never played with her children until this new season when she is trying to be Mother of the Year.

I am a PA lawyer. Just because that boilerplate language is in your divorce complaint does not mean you are claiming that. It just means that you may choose to use those grounds to proceed with a divorce if other grounds don't pan out. No false claims were made.

I am saddened by there divorce, not surprised, but sad….I think if they really truely cared about there marraige and kids they would quit the show and take some real family time to themselves. It only shows how selfish they are for embarassing there children through this public humilation of there divorce. They say the kids enjoy being on t.v and everything, however in 10 years when they realize how the whole world witnessed there parents divorce and they themselves can witness the falling apart of there marraige someday by purchassing the DVD, they will not be as happy.

Wasn't she the one crying & claiming she did not want this? But now she is the one to file for divorce & wants it ASAP? Whatever it takes for good TV! I'm sure its for the good of the kids….. just like selling them out to the public is. Cuz everything they do is for their kids. After the twins, he said he was happy with just two, BUT, he did decide for just one more, and ended up with 6…But, just because he missed out on alot of his "youth", he made the choice to be a husband and father to this family, and it isn't right for him to just decide to go out and big a child…maybe he should have thought about it all before.
