Could Fall Out Boy be splitting up?
The band's most famous member, Pete Wentz, took to the internet on Sunday to chat with some FoB fans.
And on a Twitter account, which he created just for the day and later deleted, he released some interesting information to fans.
When one asked "Can we expect a new FOB CD next year?," Pete replied with "I'm not sure. This may be the swan song. But we might have another in us. We'll see."
And to clear up what he meant, Wentz further elaborated in an interview today.
According to Pete,"No, we're not calling it quits, but [we've got] no future album plans right now." Jokingly adding, "We can't quit, we're waiting to get fired."
He also mentioned that:
"I think it's all in context. There aren't any new FOB songs currently because we don't write music just for the sake of it. At the same time, tomorrow maybe we will. We will stop doing FOB when it stops being fun. Currently, we're about to go out on what we think will be a really fun tour [with Blink-182]. All I meant in the [Twitter] statement is that if [Fall Out Boy's single] 'What a Catch, Donnie' was the last statement we made, I would feel content. This was not meant to be some cliffhanger to keep people on the edge of their seats. We adore our fans and I believe everyone will know when it's all over."

i would for sure miss them! just because they don't churn out new albums every year doesn't mean they're going anywhere. as for their last 'big hit'- how about folie a deux? or the singles: i don't care & america's suitehearts? or believers never die? which was (mostly) sold out? or how about being support on the biggest comeback tour of the year? (that would be blink 182)
also- just because you dont like their music doesnt make it shitty. not everyone is going to like the same music. thats why there are different genres! really, people.

fall out boy is a fucking joke. sure the final product sounds decent and pete wentz makes a pretty poster boy, but the band can't play live for shit, and pete wentz is also the biggest tool in history. i've seen FOB live twice, because they were touring with bands that actually make decent music, once before they were famous, and the second a few months ago. pete wentz is a pathetic, fame-hungry, piece of shit.

I would miss them terribly, but if they needed to or wanted to for any reason, then I'd support them. Its not like we don't have all of the amazing music they have already made. But I still wouldn't want them to go anywhere. I love them and their music.

FOB's real fans DON'T CARE whether or not their songs are big hits.
they had a loyal following long before their songs were played on the radio.
the genre that they're in (along with their millions of fans) would allow them to be successful for years and years to come, even if they don't have any more "big hits."
