Production Halted on Jon & Kate!

Here it comes! Maybe, this will be the beginning of the end!
TLC has just announced that the network, not the family, has ordered a halt to production of the soap opera family-in-turmoil series Jon & Kate Plus Eight!
Due to the ever present marital problems, next week's episode will feature clips of unseen footage, but following that there will be no new episodes ’til August, since there is not enough footage to forge ahead at this time.
The season is only 6 episodes into the ordered 40 episode season. Clearly, without a Jon & Kate partnership to anchor the series, the producers will have to figure out a new way to keep the show going.
Time for a reformat! Maybe even a new title!
We have a suggestion: Canceled!

They should just quit the show, obviously they have enough problems to deal with right now without cameras shoved in their faces 24/7.
Maybe Jon will actually have to get a job to afford his New York bachelor pad. He certainly won't be paying any child support. I'll bet a cheating father of 8 won't be quite such a "catch" for the sweet young things when he's no longer drawing a huge paycheck off his kids and his wife.

for the love of god this show needs to be cancelled. the family is in turmoil and clearly the "adults" can't see clearly enough to stop it all…afterall that's their main income now. tlc needs to do the right thing and put aside ratings and popularity and if nothing else, for the sake of the kids privacy and normalcy of home life, cancel what once was an enjoyable and harmless show now turned sad and pathetic.

Kate claims that the show had nothing to do with their divorce. But being on the show gave people an insight to how horrible she talked to her husband and how awful she treated him. I know having that many kids is hard but you two are supposed to be a team and work together. It put a spotlight on it for Jon and he began listening to people talk about it and it gave him the drive to stand up for himself. And of course she hated that so this is what is left. They should have haulted the show as soon as they started having problems. It's too awkward to watch now that they are having problems. Only truely sick people want to witness a good family fall apart on television.
After watching that show for the first time last night, I see why they are splitting. Afterwards, my mom and I sat around playing with new show titles. Our two winners: Kate + 8 and Jon is Gone or Kate + 8 and Jon Off and On.
Seriously, sad though. Always is when a family splits up. My thoughts are with them.

As for Kate - they should have called a break awhile ago, so these people could make their decisions and not fall apart on camera. I think the show will be MORE interesting since 60% of their audience is a divorced or separated home.

Against my better judgement, I watched this episode, and it turned out to be just another infomercial for another fame-whoring product. $7,000 dollars plus each for this playhouses. These children do not stand a chance of growing up as anything nearing stand-up citizens. I have no doubt that neither TLC nor the Gosselin's will volunteer to permanently halt production of this show until or unless the public shows their disdain by NOT TUNING IN. I for one am done.

TLC has been disgustingly exploiting this troubled family all season and should be ashamed of themselves…..they need to cancel this show and let the family be…if the parents Jon and Kate do not have the sense to stop the show then the network should do the right thing and end it for them. It's really heartbreaking to watch this family fall apart. It's bad enough when it's 2 or 3 kids in a custody battle, but 8? That'll be ridiculous.

WHO CARES. Honestly, most kids' parents are not in a relationship anymore, and that doesn't mean the kids life a miserable, hostile, life of shambles. Why can't the show be about raising kids with joint custody? WHICH IS THE NORM. 75% of marriages end in divorce, maybe now they can cut the facade and show all broken families out there that there is still life after divorce, even for the kids.
I was hoping the annoucement was that they were going to stop the show…I mean this probably would've happened show or not but it probably sped it up…

Has noone been watching this show!!? From last nights announcement episode Im starting to think maybe it's not Jons fault at all. Jon seemed to be the one pissed of at kate, not the other way around. If he cheated first, rightfully he would have absolutely no reason to be mad or upset with her. But its the other way around, he couldnt even say he didnt hate her. My observation of all the events is that Kate was obviously getting close to her "bodyguard" first, Jon noticed…and this is when the major shyt hit the fan. They obviously seperated after that, in the episode they mentioned how he stays in the house when she is away, and vise versa. So Im guessing they split a while ago….before all the 23 year old girl stuff. Thats probably why he's said that "Ive never cheated on my wife". Its not cheating if youre already gonna divorce! I mean honestly, why else would he bring that girl to his house? NO man is stupid enough to bring his mistress home, let alone a man constantly hounded by the paps. I dont know tho, I could be way off….but that story seems more likely than any of the others.

The show may be on hiatus, but that doesn't mean the cameras won't be filming their every move to start the circus back up in August. I bet they'll be filming jon moving into his new bachelor pad, Kate crying, Jon dating, the kids walking around saying WTF. I'm sure in their contract, they are still being paid for this "haitus". How else is the Diva going to afford her new 60K car?
TLC fought to film a 100 episode so that they can syndicate the show. Now that was filmed there is no reason to keep this going in this format. They have just hit the motherload and squeeze everything they can from Jon and Kate.
