Audrey Hepburn Stamp Fetches $93,000!!!!

A stamp bearing the face of movie star Audrey Hepburn garnered $93,800 at an auction in Germany on Tuesday.
Only five copies are known to exist!!!!
The 2001 print run was stopped after Hepburn's son, Sean Ferrer, objected to the image of the cigarette holder in Hepburn's mouth from the film Breakfast at Tiffany's.
Her son said that he hoped the stamp seller would use the money gained to benefit cancer research or an anti-smoking campaign.
It's sweet that Ferrer wants the proceeds to honor his mother who died of cancer, but in these economic times, it seems doubtful!!!

YEAH, HER SON IS A FOOL IF HE THINKS THAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN.
She was so amazing. Such a inspiring woman. She is my idol, not because of her acting but he huge heart. I doubt it will go to charity but I do understand why they stopped printing it. Smoking is nasty.
I love Audrey Hepburn. She was talented, beautiful, genuine, and a class act. Young Hollywood should take notes.

Cigarette holders were used often in the old movies, and denoted glamour, along with something the actress could hold in the scene to punctuate moments. You can't retroactively backdate political correctness just because people abhor smoking now. People smoked back then; in movies, and everywhere else, and they enjoyed the hell out of it. It was what it was. I have no problem with the cigarette holder. That was then. Hepburn was the bomb.

Sean Ferrer is notorious for demanding large sums of money for using her likeness..but not charity though…unless that charity is called "Sean Ferrer"….
