Nick & Vanessa Are Finished!
After three years of screwing around and being the poster couple of downgrading, Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo have broken up.
We're sure it's just somewhat gratifying to her that that Nick Lachey's life is going to shit, while ex-wife Jessica Simpson is about to rebound (just a little).
A rep fo Minnillo BlahNick has confirmed the couple have called it quits.
A source says that it was an "amicable" split, with both sides still wanting to remain "friends." The source also explains: "They still care about each other very much. This is what's best for both of them."
But where do they go from here? We can't see anyone else wanting to date them. Maybe they'll separate and then get back together after they realize any careers they might have had fizzled out about the same time Nick started doing guest spots on One Tree Hill.
Oh well. Another Hollywood showmance over and done with.

Remember when they started dating, every magazine he did an interview with, he was procliaming how she is the girl he would like to propose to, how she was so much better than Jessica, he liked she was into sports, etc. Well, one year passed, and he still didn't propose, she should have known he was nver going to.
Also as for Nick, I really believe he wants to know that he still has no chance with Jessica Simpson before he really settles down. JS was the love of his life. He would rather wait to see if JS and Tony Romo are the real deal (get married) before he does.
