I agree most of you guys as I have never watched the program but I've heard her kids are right shits, and yes she has lost control, but Im sure it wasn't like she attacked the girl, just a bit of hard punishment, which I don't think is the best, but not the worst.
I don't see a problem with her spanking her children when they misbehave. I'm 16 and when I was those kids ages I got spanked too when I misbehaved. It's when the parents hit them in places other than the butt, and for no reason. Otherwise its not a big problem. Hey, atleast she didn't hit them WITH something. I usually dont like her attitude but I do agree that spanking is a good way of discipline if needed. I was spanked few times when I was little and so were most of my friends that grew up in the 80's. We are all well functioning adults. I was not traumatized at all by it. Maybe if people were not afraid to discipline their children there would be less problems with them!

I'm sick of this spanking controversy. Guess what? I was spanked occasionally as a child when I did something really bad. And guess what else? I turned out completely normal. Spanking on the bottom with an open hand is a perfectly acceptable way to discipline a bratty, disobedient, belligerent, saucy, unruly child!!! I got the occassional spanking when I was a kid, and not ONCE did I ever hate my mother or father for it. I KNEW that I did something wrong, something I was told not to do, and I CHOSE to be disobedient. So I got a spank. Not a single thing wrong with that.
Conversely, I know of one mother who doesn't spank or disicpline her son in any way. Guess what? Is is the angriest, brattiest, most disrepectful little shit I have ever met in my life.
