I work in a video store that sells magazines. We use those black panels to hide even Maxim magazine, which has scantily clad (not even nude) cover shots. Some businesses are just overly cautious, they're terrified of losing all that conservative $$$$ out there. It's pathetic what some people think of as "offensive", it's embarrassing to work for such a business.
