We're sure Adam Lambert felt the pressure to release a statement by his new record label, but did he have to lie?????
Indie label Hi Fi Recordings plans on releasing an album of Glambert recordings from 2007/2008.
After repeatedly denying his contribution to and condemning the record, the proof is in the credits. A new legal document has been unearthed, which shows that Adam co-wrote NINE of the 11 songs on the album.
Is the album THAT bad that he doesn't want his name attached to the songs he co-wrote???

GEEEZ! leave him ALONE. he's trying to make an album that he finally has the opportunity to do, with the music he likes. obviously he was trying to make it before with this other album, but now he wants to associate his real sound with his new album. i don't blame him for lying, everyone won't get off his ass!
A legal document? A little melodramatic no? It's an inter-office memo! Memos can be faked, forged etc. etc.
That said, regardless of whether or not the memo is true, the likelihood is that a mouth piece, speaking on behalf of Adam, made the statement denying or minimizing his contributions.
The songs in question, are songs he wrote while a member the band The Citizen Vein.
The label is being extremely shady regardless of Adam's involvement. Most of the songs listed on the track list of this 'new' album (which can be found on Rolling Stone's website) have no real flow. Want and 15 minutes of fame are a VAST departure from the Citizen Vein material. It is blatantly evident that these tracks were thrown together in an effort to capitalize on 'a product' - Adam being the hottest commodity of the month.
Could the statement released by Adam's camp have been more accurate? certainly. But how much did they really know before it was released? Had Hi-Fi provided the track list yet? I don't think they did. At the time, WANT is the only track released and Adam DID NOT write that one. Hindsight is 20/20.
If anything, a new statement should be re-issued.

Adam didn’t lie. When Hi-Fi said they will release WANT and an album with music just like WANT, Adam knew that he did not write WANT. So he based his statement that the album will contain songs that he did not write. So stop the drama.
When he made a statement, he only knew about the song "Want" which he did not write and was a demo.
Adam hasnt deliberately lied. He denied writing any of the songs - but he was referring to the songs that he assumed would be on the album i.e. the demo's he was a hired to provide vocals on so they had templates to try and sell to musicians. The songs that are on that memo (dated 23rd so obviously only put together very recently) are tracks by The Citizen Vein, the rock band that Adam fronted with Monte Pittman. Adam & Monte co-wrote these songs and have never denied that, he had them on his Myspace player originally before it was reworked to match the official site's style.

Comfortably enough the document is from june 2009 and not from 2007/8, And lets wait and see what Adam has to say about it. He probably didnt even know which tracks were gonna be on that cd. Adam is not embarrased about the TCV tracks, he probably didn't even know those were potentials to be included on this Hifi album - I have no idea how Hi Fi got the rights to release those tracks tbh… Considering that Hi Fi have said they have enough material for 2 albums, my moneys on the fact that due to the fan backlash and Adam/RCA distancing themselves from this unofficial release, that to try and cause more controversy and undermine Adam's statement they have changed the tracklisting they were originally planning on (all demo's) and purposely put some Citizen Vein tracks on there so they can go "haha, told ya he wrote some of them".
He didn't even come into the show Honest….I think to him it was just a game.
And then the second album will have the session songs he was hired to sing on. Thus causing all the people who can't be assed actually looking into these things aka the haters to start calling Adam a liar and try to ruin his reputation and cause more harm than good.

Adam didn't lie. He released a statement saying that he didn't have any envolvement with the lead single 'Want'. He didn't know what other tracks were going to be on the album at that moment in time. So he was telling the truth he didn't co-write 'Want'

I've tried to find more info on this because I want to hear these songs! I got the one "Want" off Itunes, it's up there now. If he wrote these songs he should want his fans to hear it! I really do think it's to do with his new record label pressuring him, it's about the money, but it should also be about the fans who support him! So I really hope the indie label can put the songs out there.
