Sex And The City Recession-Proof!!!

We guess the ladies of Sex and the City live on another planet!
Although producer and star SJPee-Pee claimed that her character's wardrobe would reflect the current economic downturn, diva SATC stylist Patricia Field refuted the idea.
"I wouldn't do it. Of course the four girls are going to be fabulous and flamboyant - otherwise what is the point? I want to do it the other way. I'd be like, 'Forget your troubles.' I don't use the recession as a reference for my creativity," said the designer.
That's true, but lack of money does seem to put a damper on it!
We wonder the size of the clothing budget for the sequel!!!
Parker said, "Carrie will have been affected and she's not an idiot. She's gonna have to change from thinking about indulgence."
Although Pee-Pee was voted against, we would love to see how fabulous they could have been on a budget!
It would add a new dynamic to the film and judging from the last SATC movie, it couldn't hurt!

whatever when will these cougs new movie be out??
yayayayaya. first
My Statement: Stop with the infantile nicknames. Pee Pee? Try not self-medicating yourself.
Who cares about these old hags any more? The show was great and the first movie was ok, but enough is enough with these hags. Is Samantha's uterus going to fall out in the sequel or is she going to have HIV? She's banged a lot of guys and that would make sense.
Didn't that horse faced bitch marry the richest man in NYC in the last movie? He built her a fucking closet bigger then her last apartment and she lives in the penthouse! Pretending that shed give two fucks about money would be ridiculous.
the ginger just recently got gay married, right?
No designer hand bags found for a steal at Marshalls?
Hey what do you think of kelly clarksons reaction to your smackdown? I totally think you deserved it
the characters are portrayed as quite comfortable in life. i would continue with that format. after all, fans want an escape from the reality that is the world today. if we want reality, we can watch the news or look in our own neighborhoods at the multitude of empty/foreclosed homes.
During the great depression the cinema industry was know for its over the top glamour and glitz and people couldnt afford home but they still went to movies. If i wanted to see a bunch of broke bitches I would walk down the street or look in the mirror. I'm happy sex and the city with stay sex in the city! It is afterall, fantasy…
ive never gotten into sex and the city and never even attempted to watch an episode….or desperate housewives….not my cup of tea i guess
Patricia Fields is right! Without the crazy over the top clothes how can we go to the movies and see the movie. I go to escape the mess we are in as a people and nation. Escape to the movies was the great depressions biggest draw.
yeah it just wouldn't be SATC without fashion
I'm definitely rooting for #2 … I loved the show & the movie & i'm a huge fan of these ladies !
I'll love it either way… Re: misterfister – …and none of these fabulous women are "hags!"
Re: me0101 – thats so true.
