Before you say it, YES its jealousy, the kid is a coppola, never had a real job in his life, AND his whole life he has time, funds, and no fear to have a hobby.
That hobby is music, and I can't help but get a sort of beck. lennon kids, sort of privileged distaste for people like him.

he was the drummer for a pretty successful band called phantom planet for a few years before he really got into acting. Know the song "California" in the opening credits to that O.C. show with Mischa Barton? That was him.
