An Intervention Was Staged!
For the past three years, Michael Jackson's family has become concerned regarding his escalating dependence on prescription drugs.
The family even staged an intervention!
"There was an intervention in Las Vegas. Janet was on the phone, but Randy, Jackie and Rebbie were there in person," said a family insider, referring to Michael's siblings. "Michael got pissed off. He said he wasn't on drugs. But they didn't believe him."
Another source claims that Jackson got the drugs from a member of his staff, "[The aide] has contacts wherever they are." In addition to alcohol, Michael consumed "straight morphine, Demerol and opiates like Oxycontin. He also takes Valium and Xanax."
Jackson family attorney, Brian Oxman commented on the pop star's drug use, "If you think that the case of Anna Nicole Smith was an abuse, it is nothing in comparison to what we have seen in Michael Jackson's life."

How could Michael Jackson NOT be on drugs with how insane his life was? He couldn't even step outside the front door without being trampled to death. No one who reached that pinnacle of fame (only like three people) have ever survived long in that type of life. It's pretty much impossible. Unfortunately, he never had a chance living in that fishbowl since childhood. I am terribly sad he's gone, but also glad he is finally at peace. RIP, MJ.

Everone's missing the point: There's NOTHING you can do if someone is hellbent on destroying himself. The drug addled mind is not rational. You can get them to rehab, but few stay clean. Why is everyone so surprised that his heart stopped? He weighed 25 pounds wet and was on all types of prescription drugs and in ill health. I'm not surprised at all that his heart stopped. Its plain to me that his body just could not take the abuse of the drugs any more and just gave out. If you know anyone who is addicted to prescription drugs then you know its possible they could drop dead from abusing them. If I was a doctor the last person I would have given drugs to was him you could look at him and tell he was not healthy…..Its sad for his children that he made the choice to take that risk. Now they are with out a father.

drugs really are a life ruiner no matter how fun they are at first or how they make you "forget" about all your pain, it's only temporary. sad he couldn't get real help.

Then they "stay over and sleep in his bed so that he can tuck them in and give them little kisses." MJ clearly had issues with boundaries, but even if he had no idea of what normal boundaries were b/c of his own abusive upbringing, he still became the perprator, whilst doing irreparable harm to other children. End of story. Being found NOT GUILTY does NOT mean you are innocent. Especially when we live in a society where justice is by no means absolute, when faced with the machine of power and status.
