"Daily" Drug Habit

Michael Jackson's family is now saying it may have been his daily injections of Demerol that led to his death.
Demerol is a morphine-like drug prescribed for severe pain.
How heartbreaking that Jackson felt the need to numb his life by taking daily Demerol shots.
Those close to him are saying that yesterday's dose, which he received at 11:30 a.m., may have been "too much."
We'll have to wait for the autopsy to know for sure.
Whether he received the drug for persistent pain or because he was addicted, either way, it's sad.

Wow…that's some potent stuff. I had C section and was injected w' morphine and I felt nothing….so they gave something stronger..it was Demerol and I can honestly say i was the best high ever….. I can't imagine feeling or functioning every day with that stuff. Sad…

The minute I heard of MJ's tragic death I knew it had to be drugs. The sad truth is that a so-called physician administered the lethal shot and for that he should be tried as a murderer.How is it that when people reach the highest levels of fame and fortune we just can't seem to keep them alive? Like others MJ was surrounded by greedy disgusting people who bled him of his $$$ while feeding him the drugs that kept him dancing and killed him. Michael was abused sexually, physically, and verbally beginning at a very young age. He always felt somehow ashamed for the way he was and what had happened to him. That's why he constantly was changing his appearance and etc. He did not like what he saw in the mirror. Whether or not he abused anyone, he was still a legend. Just watching his videos last night made me sit in awe, I had forgotten how talented he truly was. The way he danced like it was the easiest thing in the world, his voice was truly one of a kind. It will never be matched. I never looked at Michael at thought bad things or was digusted by him. I always saw him and felt bad for him. I guess I just saw a sad scared little boy that was trying so hard to mentally recapture the innocence he lost at such a young age. Very sad all around. I agree that Perez seems to be a bit of a hypocrite now that MJ is dead, saying all these nice things about it. If only you could of shown such kindness when he was alive.

Ugh. I had Demoral twice when I was in labor with my kids. It was the most miserable "high" I've ever experienced. I still felt pain…but I was totally unable to verbalize it. I can't imagine actually wanting to be on it recreationally.

something else. I kept going to sleep on people. it was not for me. But, it was good for the pain after the cut. He did have a lot of plastic surgery that could be where he may have got his taste for this drug. Anyway what does that matter now. He is gone. A great talent.
