They say:
"In one of the darkest moments of our lives we find it hard to find the words appropriate to this sudden tragedy we all had to encounter. Our beloved son, brother and father of three children has gone so unexpectedly, in such a tragic way and much too soon. It leaves us, his family, speechless and devastated to a point, where communication with the outside world seems almost impossible at times.
We miss Michael endlessly, our pain cannot be described in words. But Michael would not want us to give up now. So we want to thank all of his faithful supporters and loyal fans worldwide, you – who Michael loved so much. Please do not despair, because Michael will continue to live on in each and every one of you. Continue to spread his message, because that is what he would want you to do. Carry on, so his legacy will live forever.
In addition, Joseph Jackson wishes to personally convey: "My grandchildren are deeply moved by all the love and support you have shown for them and their father, Michael Jackson."

Why is it from "Joseph Jackson & Family"? It should say simply "The Family of Michael". Joseph Jackson seemed like and still is a controlling man who tries to rule his family. He did awful things to those boys and I'm sure they'll all never forget it.

He is not the NY Times and besides I have heard much worse about Jackson then what Perez said. Again the death was not confirmed everyone thought it was a joke he did right by taking it down and NO ONE, but the idiots that come here and fule the fire, so to say, give a damn. The family probably only cares about the funeral…they are sad and grieving and may the next few weeks go fast for them as loosing a loved one is never easy and no matter what it's the first few weeks after that are always hardest. Though time will never let them forget and no day will go by without this on their minds and in their hearts they will forge ahead and get out o the dark cloud because that is what Michael would want.

Its funny how just a while back most people were calling MJ names, talking about all these allegations, and RUMORS and now that hes dead most of those people say : OH ! I love Michael ! Where perez stated "he is either making himself sick or lying", "EVERYBODY" else was reporting the news and expressing concern and well wishes for MJ. I lost my mom last year, I can't imagine what it must have been like for this family, i mean this was the most famous man in the world, or at least he was for a time. Sad, because in some ways it wasn't totally unexpected in a way. I mean it wasn't as shocking as it could have been, but still you never imagine that this could happen until it does. Hopefully, if his life was as "tragic" or maybe complicated, stressful, etc as it seems, hopefully his soul is a peace.

I can't get over this. It's the saddest tregedy and one of the hardest times I've ever had getting over a celebrity death. MJ was an icon. As a pop singer and dancer myslef, I feel as tho I owe him a lot. He created the genre that I love to sing, he changed music forever. MTV may never have been if it wasn't for MJ. He briged cultural gaps and untied races. Despite his somewhat sad and tragic life at times, he will always be remembered for his work and genious as a musician. He's one of the only artists in history that have been able to make timeless music that can be played through out generations and never seem to be dated. His moon walk still gives me chills to watch and his dance moves changed the dance floors of the world forever. He was and always will be, THE KING OF POP. RIP Michael, we will always love you…(annnnd i have to stop now cuz i'm crying)
