Billy Mays Victim Of Heart Disease, Not Head Trauma
Doctors have ruled out the previous claims that legendary pitchman Billy Mays passed away on Sunday due to a head injury.
Dr. Vernard Adams, the Hillsborough County Medical Examiner responsible for the preliminary examination, believes that Mays death was caused by heart disease.
Awful.
There was "no evidence" of any sort of head trauma from Mays' rough plane landing, rather there was "evidence of hypertensive heart disease and muscular thickening of the heart wall."
Dr. Adams has reason to believe the OxiClean pitchman died suddenly in his sleep and that "sudden death is not uncommon" when it comes to heart disease.
The toxicology reports from Mays' autopsy should be ready in 8 to 10 weeks, but Dr. Adams doesn't think prescription drug played a role in Billy's death.
So, so sad.
Reason enough to get checked out at least once a year by a general practitioner as a preventative measure!

dying in ones sleep is a gift rarely given to people. best way i can see out of the six million ways to die.
i just want to know what is up with all these deaths in the past week, this is getting to be crazy…i hope noone else passes…RIP to billy and god bless his family and friends in this tough time…

Weird how a person could just not feel well and be found dead. When it's my time to go, I hope it will be peaceful like that. I would just hate that the love of my life had to find me but it's better than the kids or something.

How weird how you never know when a person can just be fine, then pass away. My 21 year old friend passed away in her sleep last week. So sad. Weird thought how I just seen his commercial while reading this. Are they not going to pull those due to respect?

the highest tax increase in American history called the Cap and Trade bill has just been passed through the House on Friday. If this goes through the Senate then ENERGY COSTS WILL SKYROCKET. The average persons household energy bill will go up as much as $1200. Let's hope it does not pass through the Senate!!

Did he know he had heart disease? He may have possibly known and still had problems. My grandmother has been taking medication and still had to be rushed to the hospital last week. So sad, I liked him!

Getting checked out by a doctor is all well and good, but if when you get out of the shower and you look in the mirror and see that your belly is sticking out farther than your chest ….. lose some fucking weight before it kills you.
ok, ask any doctor about this 'dying peacefully in their sleep ' bit. It's actually a very VIOLENT event. duh!

Cardiovascular disease IS the number one killer. Almost 1 million people in the US are affected every year, and 9 million people are living with a form of the disease. It's mainly in developed nations, and goes hand in hand with diabetes and obesity. Help stop the cycle. Eat right- mostly fruits, veggies, whole-grains, and fish and cut out the animal fats. Exercise and de-stress. Sleep well. Stop Smoking. 50 years old will come before you know it and most heart disease is highly developed and difficult to reverse by then.
he didn't need a checkup…but maybe Oxiclean could have cleared his arteries. so why aren't you writing about Fred Travalena, who just died? He was a talented guy. Two kinds of cancer, remission for 5 years. give him some blog time.
my dad died of the same thing in april. and its not as easy as "loosing the gut" as someone said. my dad was about 190 and 6'2" and it killed him at age 44.
Billy will be missed! Prayers to his family and friends.

in regard to the freakshows crying for no reason; michael jackson and billy mays is not the new 9-11. people are officially ODin. i love that there werent facebooks groups dedicated to these people until after they died. fake ass fans need to stop. ps. they didnt know that any of you existed and you didnt know them personally. this shouldnt be a big deal

there actually was a facebook group for billy mays. their updates are actually how i found out he died. don't speak of what you don't know.
good advice. maybe if we had "free" health care he wouldn't have died lol. lord knows it's oh so expensive to see a dr once a year.
