I know it might not be the popular vote but I kind of understand Gene. Adam made such a production out of coming out that his music got lost in all they hype of his sexual preference. I love Adam's music and think he should have won American Idol and I hope that having the focus taken off his music and put onto his personal life doesn't effect his musical popularity. In my opinion, if you are a serious musician then the focus should always be on your music, not your personal life. We've all seen the tabloids ruin people because their personal life takes such a front seat over their talent.

People, especially misguided people fed bullshit by by so-called "holy men," need to know that gay people are all around them. It has to do with equal protection under the law. The fact that gay marriage is still illegal in most of the states in this country is disgusting.

As a citizen of a country we all have equal protection under that countries'
laws. When a gay person is not treated fairly that is due to the dis-respectful person and Not the law. The law is 'meant' to protect all equally.
