Guess it is hard times for Jon Voight!
Though he is estranged from his daughter, Angelina Jolie, and probably has never even met most of his grandchildren, he is not above exploiting their enormous fame for his personal gain.
Look for the re-release of Angie's big screen debut, Lookin' to Get Out , on DVD this week, which he also produced.
She was itty-bitty then - a mere five years old! So cute!
It seems Voight got his hands on a newly edited copy from the late director Hal Ashby and he thought it was time for the world to revisit the critically crapped-on flick. He seems to think that the movie should be revisited, stating : "Hal was working on two other films at the time (of the movie's release), and there was a lot of drama. Our film was handed over to other editors, and the result was a crippled movie. We were very hurt by the reception…Finally, this is the film he intended. It's like a message in a bottle."

Or your desperately trying to remind people that you are related to Angelina and garner some pocket money while doing it.

Jon Voight might have crazy politics, he might have made crap films for the past twenty years, but for anyone who is not a complete idiot they would know he is indeed the reason why Angelina is where she is today. In any case, if you watch Coming Home or Midnight Cowboy, you can judge for yourself. I think he is a better actor.

I really think that Perez thinks that by always defending Angelina, putting her up on a pedestal, kissing her butt, calling her Santa Angelina that somehow she will like him and be his friend. It's at times like this that I feel sorry for Perez. I know you're an intelligent guy. You're also a vengeful guy, which will make it interesting to see how many people show up at your funeral. I just returned from a cast screening of LOOKIN" TO GET OUT at the Billy Wilder Theater this evening….attended by Jon Voight, Ann-Margret, Burt Young, Hal Ashby's family, Hal Ashby's biographer Nick Dawson(WHO WAS THE ONE WHO FOUND THE MISSING FILM AND GOT WARNERS TO RE-RELEASE THE FOUND NEW VERSION), most of the surviving crew from the film and JAMES HAVEN (Jon's son and Angie's brother). NONEof what you said is true!!! NONE!! DO you ever bother checking your fucking facts you ass???? I sat in front of James and talke do him after the Q&A they had and he's got such a tremendous love for his father, as he said his sister did as well. I had dinner with Jon Voight over ten years ago (1996 before Angelina became famous). I was so very sad to see the lack of faith he had in his own daughter. And I was shocked at his negative judgment of her behavior. I had met the two of them years before at a Native American event (Angie was about 12) and they both seemed to treat each other with warm and respect . It's sad that in the past he has gone public with disparaging words about his daughter. And it is indeed sad that he is exploiting his daughter. The two of them and their families are always in my prayers.
