Not Just Michael! The Jackon Family In Financial Disarray
Devastated by the recent death of their beloved son and brother Michael, more secrets about his life and the lives of the Jackson family are coming to light.
Apparently, the entire Jackson family has been dealing with just as many financial troubles as the fallen icon had.
Many of the of Jackson children have fallen far from the graces of fame due to money problems, such as Marlon Jackson, who stocks shelves at a Vons supermarket in San Diego and Jackie, the oldest brother, who is is struggling to manage his son's aspiring rap career after attempts at an Internet startup clothing business failed.
The only brother still left making his own music is Tito Jackson, but he makes a meager living off the venture, pulling in $500 and $1,500 per the sporadic gig.
But how did the once lucrative family find themselves in finical ruin? Reports suggest "a slew of bad investments, poor advice, bankruptcy, stubborn pride, divorces, IRS debt, child support" and, of course, Michael, whose own financial difficulties leave his loved ones a suggested $400 million debt to deal with. Along with that, there are also reports that while Michael was known to support his family financially, he used his influence to stop his brothers from venturing out and working on their own music. Michael had signed his brothers to his personal record label,MJJ, and then refused to release any of their music.
Furthermore, during Michael's 2005 child molestation trial, several of the brothers, in need of cash flow, documented private family affairs, hoping to shop it around to networks as a reality show. Though it never came to pass, it was these kind of desperate measures that the Jackson family has been reduced to in order to fund their lifestyles.
While the brothers may have lost their fortunes, it seems it will be up to the more successful sisters to help carry the family through the roughest of times. Janet Jackson, being the most successful sibling next to Michael, has created an empire of her own, reportedly being worth upward of $150 million.
We will have to wait and see how far Janet will go to support her family. We're sure she will, but at what cost to her, remains to be seen.

I wouldn't worry about them too much. Michael will end up worth more dead then he was alive. Look at how much money Elvis' estate has made and he's been dead for over 20 years! He too was in a lot of debt when he died.
The family will sell Michael in all sorts of ways and not only pay off his remaining debts but make money.

That's crazy… but I agree with the statement below. He will gain more money and Im sure that debt will be paid in full. Seems like that family needs to get back on track, somehow.
i wouldn't worry, also. the've got his stuff to auction. the nerverland ranch is still his, as far as i can remember. his music and 600 million in shares. the only problem will be to endure and to get their hands on all of this. and of course, that his children will get their part. they should hire some good people who know how to handle this. but after all: i don't really care. i am sad that MJ is dead, but after all he was a freak and we all said "oh well, that's michael jackson, he's not weird, just a little eccentric." so i think it's time to let him go - i'm not that interested in his death (unless it was murder) or in what the people have to say about him (wow, and that's quite a lot!).

This story came out a while ago. That's why they tried to move to England. People over here still like 70s R&B and many acts from the US still tour over here to make their living. But they're all living off of Michael. I'm sure that only added to his stress load. Another form of abuse. Now Janet will have to take over.

Unless one of his siblings or parents signed a note along with Michael saying they were responsible for his debts, they are not. His estate will be liquidated to satisfy any outstanding debts and what is left owed will be either forgiven or will lay in wait to be paid with future income should there be any. He will be entitled to residuals from his music etc currently being shlocked all over. After all, anyone that can will try to make money off a dead man, including his own family sadly. Instead of buying this crap, please if you care, donate to your local food bank or other charity and help your neighbors-because that is what Michael would have done.

I wouldn't worry too much about them. I think the depts would be paid since micheal (sadly) is worth more dead then when he was alive. Everything would be piad off and their depts would probably be paid off.

At this point I think the best choice would be for Janet to take over Michael's estate. She's the only one in the family who seems to be financially stable. She (and those who handle her finances) should be able to do well for his children.

if i was worth even one million i would not let my brother keep stocking shelves at a grocery store…but dont forgot some of mj's own brothers stopped communication with him when the child abuse allegations came out so if that was the case then i guess mj wrote them off as well for not supporting him when he needed them the most….Also they had their own money but if they chose an extravagant lifestyle then they brought on their own finacial demise…but im sure they will be taken care of now that mj has passed. In fact i will be suprised if papa joe does not try to claim that since the kids might not be mj's biological children the estate goes to the parents and not the children.

The whole family is a massive train wreck, which is why I hope Debbie Rowe steps up and gets the kids out of their clutches. Joe has used all his new found opportunities to peddle his crappy new music ventures, no doubt he would quickly figure out some inappropriate way to capitalize on the kids. It's disgusting how people who had so much opportunity did nothing but squander every bit of it.

I really wish Janet was in charge of MJ’S estate only b/c I don’t think she would have anything to gain from his death. She is already successful and wealthy and I really believe that she would do right by Michael’s children and his legacy.

I don't believe every thing I read…. The Jackson are not in financial trouble if this was the case then why bring it up now??? Surely if they were it would of been reported already… Mad stories are going to come out about the Jackson family I don't believe everything I read only a closed minded person would….
