After 9 years on Broadway, Avenue Q is closing, PerezHilton.com has learned.

The Tony Award-winning musical will play its last performance on September 13th.

It was a very good run!

Always wanted to see it. Maybe if I hurry….

Aaaah, that's sad. I've never seen Avenue Q but it's a hilarious musical.

Even though they stole the Tony Award for Best Musical from Wicked!

And it's only been 6 (!) years Perez. They opened on March 2003 off-Broadway and moved up to Broadway July 31st, 2003.

The show was really funny…but I don't understand how you can rationalize spending $121 (i got discounted tickets) to see a puppet show…It's not like the show was a huge production with costumes and an elaborate set…

I really liked this play. I saw it in March in Sacramento. It was fabulous..not as good as in NY I imagine, but still really good.

That was one of the funniest shows I have ever seen. It is brilliantly written and I'm glad I got to see it. It will be a loss to broadway.

"After 9 years on Broadway, Avenue Q is closing, PerezHilton.com has learned." - Really, PerezHilton.com has learned? Umm, it's on you site, so no fuckin' shit you moron. You really need to stop plugging yourself in your OWN POSTS! Talk about lame. It's almost as bad as when you say, "We have exclusively learned", when in fact you've ripped the post off from another site.

It ran for 6 years, not 9.

the best thing i ever did in nyc was not go to that play.
