Insiders to the famed event have confessed to hitting rock bottom and inviting a whole bunch of no-namers to fill the seats - for a hefty price - instead of who everyone really wants to see.

According to New York magazine, a few fashion houses were too broke to pay for both the tables and the fabulous guests to fill them.

World famous designers may be shunned for a mere peasant who is willing to throw away enough money for a full price ticket.

Now what does the ticket price even include if you can’t see Lagerfeld walk down the red carpet?
