Innovative German modern dance choreographer Pina Bausch passed away on Tuesday, at age 68, in a Wuppertal hospital.
"An unexpected death carried her away five days after being diagnosed with cancer," said a source. "Only the Sunday before last she was on the stage with her company at the Wuppertal Opera House."
The choreographer made a name for herself at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, where she was known for a highly personalized style of dance, including exaggerated forms of expression and scenery.
Later this month, she was to present a performance of the The Seven Deadly Sins at the Chekhov International Theatre Festival in Moscow.
Bausch did what she loved until the very end!

I really don't know why *you* should care… Maybe because she was worldfamous for her Art? I care because her "Tanztheater" is a very important cultural contiribution to my hometown. Though I never would have gone there, I respected that woman. Ruhe in Frieden, Pina Bausch.

What has your fucking ugly ass done that anyone will remember you for in the long run? Even if you have kids and they have kids, their kids aren't gonna know who the fuck you were, or care.

That is probably why she died. What self respecting performer would play in Wuppertal…literally the ugliest city in Germany (and Europe) after Chemnitz.

I feel ill reading this news. She was one of the most astonishing artists. Some of her work is shown at the beginning and end of Almodovar's film "Talk to Her". The sexiest, most visceral, gorgeous, emotionally rich, intelligent dances. Just perfect.
Ouch! I mean, I understand that not everyone is a dancer but…Come on get cultured…google her for fucks sake! Pina was THE most influential force in modern dance. She wasn't afraid to make sexual pieces and take risks. She pretty much ruled. I hate to say it but Merce Cunningham might be next. :C

i made a account just to comment this, i believe this wouldnt have ever been posted here if there wasn't sooo many celebrity deaths recently. i think it is pathetic to do such a think to seek out deaths to post for the sake of viewers. you can spin this however you want but i think its bullshit. your blog isn't a valid news source. you should be posting death news for anybody. just like you said castro was dead and you swore up and down he was. yea right. your blog and the money you make from it is just as bad as making money from blood diamonds in africa. have fun in hell.
