How cool would this have been to see???
One of the closely guarded secrets from Michael Jackson's "This Is It" concert spectacular was going to be a new 3D mini-film, nicknamed the "Dome Project."
Jackson finished shooting the project only two weeks ago. It included recreations of the Thriller music video in which "the audience would have felt like they were visiting the Thriller experience, like they were there," according to Vince Pace, the man behind the 3D cameras used for the shoot.
Wow.
That would have been awesome!
The production took 5 weeks to complete with only a week of actual shooting, most of which the King of Pop was present for. Said Pace, "To think that Michael's gone now, that's probably the last documented footage of him to be shot in that manner."
Sadly, Jackson's frail demeanor was evident to the crew on the 3D shoot even a few weeks ago. Michael introduced himself to the whole crew and walked "with a spring in his step," but needed assistance when walking down steps.
Along with the recreation of the Thriller set, a "lush jungle" set was built for "This Is It", as well as a replication of a construction site including "scantily clad male dancers wearing carpenter's belts."
We're sure this footage will be released…eventually.

Look I'm sick to death of hearing about Michael Jackson. He was a narcissistic freak. Second, he got little boys drunk on "Jesus Juice" and took advantage of them in his bed. He was aquitted, but so was OJ. He also paid off a family to not bring their case to court. It makes him look very suspicious. Third, this whole Michael was a "musical genius" thing is way out of proportion. If he was such a musical genius why couldn't he play a musical instrument? If he can't play an instrument then you can't call him a musician. Another thing to ponder, if he couldn't play an instrument how could he write the music to those songs? The answer is he didn't Quincy Jones did. Quincy is the genius. Plus, Michael mainly made R&B, Disco, cheezy ballads. If he really was that great why didn't he make a blues album, country album, or something that was challenging. But I think that to be a "King" you have to encompass it all. A true artist must go out of his safety zone & try things that might be commercial suicide, but yet aritistically rewarding. I never felt that Michael did that. He was too concerned with keeping his fame & his sales up. Sorry MJ fans, but the truth is the truth.

Jackson posthumous music sales outstrip Elvis and John Lennon!!
HMV today claimed that sales of Michael Jackson's music have outstripped the demand for material by Elvis Presley and John Lennon following their untimely deaths.
Simon Fox, the chief executive of HMV, said that sales of Michael Jackson albums have multiplied by 80 times, totalling 40,000 units, since the singer's death last Thursday. He estimates that across the UK, 125,000 albums by Jackson have been sold since last week.
The music retailer, which had stocked up on albums by the King of Pop in anticipation of his 50 farewell performances at the O2, sold out of CDs on Saturday and is currently re-stocking from Sony.
During his lifetime, Jackson sold over 750 million records and Mr Fox today claimed that the recent surge in demand for CDs surpassed that following Presley's death in 1977 and Lennon's assassination in 1980.

Im honestly still in shock about his death, for some reason it affected me much more than any other celebrity's death, i feel like he was ready for a new beginning and with so much to give…And one more time i feel like this could have been prevented.

I feel so bad for ever judging MJ. Im 16 yrs old and when I was like 8 yrs old I saw this on MJ movie that I really liked. Then I started hearing on TV that MJ was a pedofile and I didn't know what that was so my parents told me that it meant he touched little kids and well that pretty much changed my perspective of him. Thinking like that prevented me from listening to his music because I always felt like I did not want to enjoy it because a pedofile sang it. Now I see that those were probably all lies made up by people who wanted to take his money. He was aquitted. It's so easy to judge someone. I feel bad that he was judged these past years, and now that he is dead people refer to him with kindness. It's sad that he did not experience this. Ive been watching vids of him and he does seem like a child. He seemed so innocent and cool. I always thought he was crazy and odd. I hope he is in a better place now and that he rests in peace.

I grew up hearing his songs, but I was never the huge MJ fan. Since his death, I have watched most of his videos & live performances–the 1983 Motown 25th Anniversary Special is a classic–and he was one of the most gifted entertainers I have ever seen. He was also one of the most tormented. I could never judge him…may he finally rest in peace.
