Larry King Embraces His Inner Diva!

When you're as old as he is, you can do pretty much whatever you want. Screw being "green"!

According to reports, Larry King was asked to attend the Police Athletic League's Superstar Dinner at the Pierre Hotel in New York recently. However, King turned down the request because he couldn't get a private jet to take him cross country from Los Angeles.

Could you imagine sitting next to Larry King on a commercial flight in coach? Ok, neither can we, but can't he at least fly first class?

Reps for the 75-year-old confirm that he only travels by private jet, but, they claim: "Larry has been an emcee many times. He made it clear that unless he was in New York on assignment for CNN, he wouldn't be able to do it. He never asked for a plane. The PAL loves him."

And so do we!

Larry King ruuules. He makes me laugh so much. And he's made suspenders legendary.

I could imagine how a commercial flight with Larry would go.

We start to take off and he starts asking me about my personal life, what its like to be a normal person, who I'm dating, how my non-existent kids are.

Then we get into the air: He brings in a few people who don't know me and are famous to comment on my "situation". Then as one of them starts to talk he cuts them off immediately to ask the second person on the other line a question about my "situation". This continues for the rest of the flight.

Once we start to land we get our chairs and tray tables in their upright position and Larry starts to thank everyone on the flight…"I'd like to thank our guests tonight…Cher, Aaron Neville, Danny Devito, and Kathy Griffin. I'd also like to thank the pilot, the co-pilot, the stewardess, and all of you wonderful people for flying Southwest Airlines. The time in New York is—" and then they cut to a commercial break.

      :D

I feel sure Larry King is losing it…if you saw his show last night…it was really out there….He asked a guest, reagarding all the hoopla about Michael Jackson's death…"If Homer Smith had died, would we be seeing the same thing….?" Not unless Homer Smith was a world famous pop idol with a folowing of millions of all ages, Larry my dear man…..AND….. he couldn't seem to get over that they were supposed to have MJ's Memorial on the 4th of July week end. He couldn't get off it…."Why on the 4th of July weekend"…"Do they know it's the 4th of July weekend…?" It was falbbergasting… The memorial is held soon after death, Larry… The memorial comes first to the family, NOT the holiday. Comprendo?? What in the name of tarnation is wrong with you….???

omg, just the thought of sitting next to Larry King in coach makes me laff!!!

Come to think of it, I have a hard time imagining him in ANY real-life situation. I'd love to run into him in a grocery store too…

Ew! Old coot. He creeps me out! And he still thinks he's a great interviewer. ~barf~ He's irrelevant now with his interview questions soft and NEVER listening to the guest answer the question; rather barreling through to the next. Ick dude RETIRE!

      He's not dead yet?

      Re: NeatoAwesome
Nope. He's not dead yet. I think he stole that hyperbaric chamber Michael Jackson had in the 90s. I guess that probably explains how Larry King outlived Michael Jackson.

King should retire, he's old, senile and out of touch. Typical of people like King to demand private jet transport and then throw a hissy fit if they don't get it. Wonder who would get the bill for the very expensive plane trip, PAL or CNN?
