Michael definitely had favorites!!!!
According to his will, Michael Jackson's assets will be placed in a family trust, but there are more beneficiaries than first reported.
The Michael Jackson Family Trust, which is said to be valued at $500 million, will be disbursed between his children and his mother Katherine.
Six relatives, which include his brother Tito's three sons, are listed as contingent remainder beneficiaries. Basically, they'd only share the estate if Michael's children or Katherine passed away before Michael did.
Just Tito's family?!
Jackson's wish was for his mother to be appointed guardian of his kids, but in the case that it was not possible, singer Diana Ross would look after them!!!!
That would prove to be interesting!

If he really is $400,000,000 in debt, AND the trust was made up AFTER he knew he was in debt, I believe that the creditors can get a piece of it. It's only safe if he put the money aside into the trust before he was in debt to the creditors from what I understand.
Tito's sons are in the music business, and from what I remember, they are extremely close to Michael. They even performed and wrote songs together back in the late 90s!

Well, it seems like MJ was very willing to share his things.
I think Michael admired how Diana Ross has raised her 5 children. It is well known how she is an exceptional mother to her kids who have all turned out quite well. He must have really loved her.

this is so tragic. theres so many stories coming out about him now that he's gone– and one things thats common between them all is that Michael felt very alone, like no one understood him and he didnt know who to trust & would put his trust into the wrong people quite often. i feel the very same way ALOT of the time, and i sometimes wonder if there are people out there who feel this way and would understand where im coming from completely. when i was like 4 or 5 i fell in love with Michael Jackson. and i just wish from the very essence of my heart that i could have had the priveledge of being one of the people to enter his life… i would not have failed him, thats for sure. it sucks–this feeling of wishing you could have helped someone, knowing you would have done everything in your power to do so, but then again–also knowing you never ever would have even had the opportunity to meet the man.

Perez, you have it wrong. The Trust is dispersed ONLY to Katherine and his three kids. The other releatives are "contingent beneficiaries" meaning they get money if/when the original beneficiaries die.

Oh, shush. How are you gonna judge his will? I'm quite sure he had his reasons. Lots of people leave things to specific family members. It sure as hell doesn't mean he hated the rest of his family. It MEANS he had a reason for leaving them what he left them. And it's getting really tiresome seeing everyone judge every single thing that the man has done.

Diana and Michael were very close. He lived with her when he first moved to California. She is also known to be a very good mother to her 5 children. I am sure Michael saw this and that's why he chose her. He was also close to Liz and Liza but I don't think those two are suitable to raise children. I think Diana was a smart choice.

that seems weird. Katherine is 79 and Diana is in her 60s. Seems like Janet would be the natural choice. They were best friends growing up and she is the youngest member of his immediate family.
