I love it. Classy and adult. Glad she is not going the stupid route and trying to be eighteen like some of these other "divas". Also glad she is not wailing all over the place. This is the kind of music that will last. Good for her.
I adore Whitney Houston, too. Good Woman's song. But the purity in her voice is just not there. Definitely, not the Whitney I long to hear or what used to be. I'd still buy the CD, though…

Not impressed though she is one of the true divas left. I think she should've used something more up-tempo as a comeback single. Radio stations would play that more then a ballad.
I love this song. So emotional. But I don't feel it for the FIRST single. I want a classic happy-dance-song like INRBIO.

wow. gotta say, i was very skeptical for Whitney's "comeback", despite all the media constantly trying to shove it down our throats.
but this song is excellent. it's not necessarily radio-friendly this time of year, but it's the first time i can think of where she's singing with such soul and rawness. the lyrics are very honest.
go an' get it, Whitney. you're one of the greatest to have ever done it - we're all rooting for ya.
…i hope this venue is for public critiques before they actually choose the first single. This is a weak song, album material maybe but not a strong contender for a sell through top 5 single. I want Whitney to make a strong come back but this doesn't seem to be a good enough vehicle.

i was hoping for something more exciting… more along the lines of "its not right but its ok". powerful & strong. this song is totally out of date with modern hits. its not gonna be a top 10 hit but nice background music for a quiet night in. thumbs down.
I am really impressed. The girl is singing again. No crappy covering up of vocals. It has been so long. Do we even know what singing is anymore? Sounds like Miss Whitney is here to remind us again. I am so glad she didn't take the easy route and just give us some crappy dance single where she could skimp around half naked in a video.

I Must say her voice is still just as amazing as it was back n the day but…. This song is just Blah the only thing that makes it good is that she is singing it. But for her "comeback" UNACCEPTABLE!
I still listen to Whitney's ballads on my ipod when working out.This song does not inspire or mesmorize. What happened to her voice?It just doesnt sound the same.

THE SONG IS OK..NO SUMMER JAM THATS FOR SURE ..A SLOW BALLAD ..KINDA IN THE SAME MOLD AS "TRY IT ON MY OWN" FROM HER LAST RECORD BUT NOT EVEN THAT MELODIC…GENERIC..IF THIS IS THE FIRST SINGLE THEN I AM NOT SO SURE…HOPEFULLY THE REST OF THE ALBUM HAS BETTER TRACKS..HER VOICE SEEMS OK..SHE IS PLAYING SAFE …WHETHER YEARS OF DRUG ABUSE HAVE TRULY DAMAGED HER VOICE (AND IF SO, TO WHAT EXTENT) ONE MAY BE ABLE TO JUDGE FOR THEMSELVES AFTER GETTING TO LISTEN TO THE ENTIRE ALBUM.
Her voice is still there, but the song itself isn't impressive. I'd like to hear other songs from the album. I don't see how anything can top her powerhouse I Will Always Love You.

Yawn….snoresville. Her voice sounds pretty good, better than Mariah does now. The song is just so dull. Maybe if she shows pics of herself doing crack in the bathroom with her teeth out in the video, it'll get more interesting.
Its not her first single, that will be an uptempo, but its a nice way to re introduce her to the public … Peter Rauhofer debuted a banging club remix of this at New York gay pride last Saturday. HOT!!!!!!

When I listened to this song, and to her voice, I got chills! I was waiting for something to "happen" , like a burst of something, but it didn't. None the less, it did give me chills all over. I've listened to Whitney since I was a young girl, and I am totally in love with her singing. Nobody has come close to her singing voice. She HAS still got it. Can't wait till she brings out a song that will show everyone that she still does have it!
This is worse than I thought it would be. So outdated, boring, and lame. I hope they know this is weak and plan to release something hot next.

This definitely sounds like a Clive Davis masterpiece. But he has been falling short here lately with his decision making. He needs to start keeping up with times. He is choosing songs that sound dated. This song is good, but when competing with other ballads, it will not measure up. Hell, Miley's "The Climb," is 100x better than this. Keep working on it Whitney.

I love Whitney and was really anticipating her new "comeback" album. Whitney STILL has "the voice" you guys. Maybe not the same voice as 25 years ago, but that's what happens when you get older (and, ok ok, the drug use). It's not, however, a strong single. It's a pretty song and I'm pretty sure it's going to be a pretty album, albeit a bit out-dated and somewhat tacky, but a good album from a great singer. I'm pretty sure we will appreciate her efforts and her voice, but if the songs aren't up-to-date then I doubt she'll ever see a hit. She needs to stay relevant with today and she can do it Whitney-style instead of trying to recapture the past. This should be about the new Whitney.

They should have went ahead a commercially released "Like I never left" I still have that playing in my car after it leaked a year ago. That was a great song…Minus Akon of course.
