Michael Jackson's Kids Viewed His Lifeless Body

Following Michael Jackson's death last week, his children, Prince, Paris, and "Blanket", were accompanied by a therapist to view their father's lifeless body to help them understand his death and begin the grieving process.
Brother Jermaine Jackson explained that it was just as tough to inform the children as it was to begin grieving himself. On showing them the body of their deceased father, he says "I know it's tough, but I think it was the best thing to do. At first I was against it, but what do you say if you don't show them?"

He added, "To see him there lifeless and breathless was very emotional for me. But I held myself together because I knew he's very much alive in his spirit, and that was just a shell. But I kissed him on his forehead, and I hugged him, and I touched him and I said Michael, 'I'll never leave you. You'll never leave me.'"
When asked how he would feel should drug abuse turn out to the cause of his brother's death he said, "I would be hurt, because Michael has always been a person who was against anything like that. I’m not saying it’s right, because it’s not right. But in this business, the pressure, and things that you go through — you never know what people might turn to."
We hope the kids are given the time, space, and tools to deal with their grief healthily.

Oh hell… Perez doesn't have to apoligize for what he initially posted about MJ. In case you haven't noticed, THIS IS A GOSSIP WEBSITE, ASSHOLE!!! And it's Perez's gossip website. So, he can post whatever the hell he damn well pleases. And if you don't like what he has to say, you don't have to visit and post on the site numerous times throughout each and every day, adding to the number of hits it receives. Michael Jackson was incredibly talented. Michael Jackson was also an egocentric, emotionally and socially retarded, prescription drug addict. And now he's dead. Yes it's Perez's site, but if he allowed comments it's probably because people CAN write what they feel like. Puhleeze. These kids are now getting ready to be rocked to the core with all of these allegations that MJ is not their biological dad. Everyone is going to be subjected to blood and DNA testing. How horrible is that going to be for those poor babies? And now rumors that Debbie wants her 2 biological children but not Blanket. What will that do to them as siblings? It's just horrible. And it's not because anyone cares for them particularly, it's all boiling down to the $$$$$$ as usual.

I'm glad they got to say goodbye…that is what is needed. When my baby son passed, we all needed to say our goodbyes in our own way.

I don't think there's anything wrong with letting his children say goodbye to him, because it was probably the last chance they will have for any privacy for a long time to come. (The media is exploiting them, and making money off their late father anyways, so they should show some human decency and let them deal with their grief any way they can)

My Mother dropped dead in front of me when I was a kid. 30yrs later, I still have nightmares. They need a tight family bond. But they wont get one because the lawsuits are gonna go on for many years

It's normal to have a viewing when somebody dies. Why are you reporting every breath and fart the Jackson family are making right now? I have every belief that most of it is half truths. They are mourning their father/brother/son, back off Perez and show some respect.
