We think it is safe to say that the unexpected passing of Michael Jackson has easily become the biggest story of the year. The trouble with stories of this magnitude is that the more time passes, the more details become exposed.
Today, more secrets about the personal dealings of the musical legend came to light as one of Michael's bodyguards, Matt Fiddes, opens up about the King Of Pop.
Aside from his claims of Michael's constant drug use, Matt's most shocking confession was that Michael had a secret girlfriend who he met on several occasions.
Really?????
When pressed for more specific details, Matt only replied: "I'm not going to name who she is, but I think the family were aware that there was someone special in his life who he loved and adored and had his ups and downs with. I don't know how long they've been a couple. I know she's been with him for some time in different capacities but … it's up to her if she wants it to come out or the family to speak about this very private information."
Interesting! Wonder who she could be?
As for the drug addiction, Matt admits it was a serious problem, one that he and the other members of Michael's security attempted to rectify by talking to the pop star and confiscating needles and such from his room. However, their words of help fell on "deaf ears" as Matt recalls certain "doctors" who would prescribe Michael his drugs as well as charge fans $20,000 for introductions to the pop idol.
"We went to great efforts to keep the doctors away," says the bodyguard. "But as soon as we said anything and it gets back to Michael, Michael would have a screaming fit that we were interfering with his private life, that he knew what he was doing and he was in denial."
But through it all, Matt hopes that it is his music that people will remember him for and not the drugs or any other terrible allegations against him: "I hope the general public will remember him for his music and the incredible talent that he had. He was always singing songs and writing lyrics. He lived and breathed showbiz."
Like Elvis, he'll be remembered for his music and his personal life.

I dont believe MIchael would EVER charge his fans to meet him ever. Michael loved his fans and he did everything in his power to make us happy. I wish that the attemps to save Michael were succesful but sadly michael was in denial and no one seemed to do anything to really get him clean. I think its great Michael had a girlfriend. No, the trouble with stories of this magnitude is that the media and blogs report every single detail and "source" as fact when everyone is trying to get their 15 seconds and yet again leech on this man. He's dead, leave him alone, and stop acting like every detail anyone says is worth reporting and printing, because 99% of it is bogus and it wastes everyone's time, not to mention disrespects the dead.
As a former personal assistant, I was rejected for many positions with uber famous people because I was unwilling to put prescriptions in my name and this was a right off the bat interview question.
I honestly think Michael Jackson had a love which was not essentially forbidden but I do believe it was Elizabeth Taylor. They both had an interesting bond. Maybe this was his secret girlfriend…two kindred spirits.
People should talk about the drugs. Prescription drug abuse is a big problem and a potentially deadly one. Non-addicts need to be exposed to the depths to which an addict can sink so that they are aware of what's going on. I thought the Jacksons were very brave to come out in the first days of the news frenzy and admit he had drug problems. I hope they'll make the best of this horrible event in their lives by setting up a rehab/drug abuse education center in his name or something.

I am 44 years old, and I can say that Michael Jackson single handedly change the calibre of not only music, but the videos, the quality of such videos, and the way that every other artist, since then, has tried to copy in their own music and videos. He truly was the King of Pop. I will always be grateful to Mr. Jackson for what he has given us and the world of music, and look at him as the best at what he did.
He was also attached to several allegations, criminal charges, horrible press, and his parenting abilities even came into this. I will not comment or judge him. He was found innocent and I must believe that Justice was served.
He was a very talented, yet tortured soul, and I personally will miss his music and the new music he would have been a part of.
I wish his family, his friends, and mostly his children all the best during this very sad time. If anyone from the Jackson family or his circle of friends, be there for each other, and know that Michael was very well respected, a pioneer in many aspects of the music business, and put out music, that I feel will stand the test of time.
Rest in Peace Michael and thank you for all of the great music and videos that I have listened to for over 28 years. Peace be with you Micheal. I pray that your children are well taken care of you that those closest to you are able to deal with their loss.

In 2000 I started w/this prob and got maybe 1 hr to 1.5 hrs of sleep at a time after 3 or 4 days with NO sleep. It drives you nuts. I JUST this yr started getting sleep in 2 hr increments (sometimes a bit more) but, always interrupted-at least I can go back and get a couple or 3, 2 hr intervals of sleep. So I sympathize w/him AGAIN on these RAMPANT loose mouthed rumors that don't bring w/them the whole story. Even if he didn't really have lupus he had Fibro & I'd bet on it-it severely affects your ability to get good sleep. I WISH we could have IM'd late at night when we couldn't sleep.(SIMPLY for that reason, not cuz he's a superstar)…. Poor MJ.
Re: lemonbird – When you have something wrong with you that is robbing you of sleep..and you have pain 24/7, and you take pain pills for that..I can tell you its VERY frustrating with everybody lecturing you about it. Doctor's (GOOD ones) DO give pain meds to ppl with 24/7 pain causing Lupus (and others) and ITS NOT addiction or being OVERDONE. Now maybe in MJ's desperate case he WAS getting more than he should have from these greedy ass doctors, but I can CERTAINLY identify with his desperation for sleep. Course I would NOT even THINK of taking a drug used for anesthesia at the hospital..at home..for sleep…but I still have compassion for his situation. Im sorry he wouldn't listen to at LEAST the severity of that drug frm his nurse. But SOME desperate ppl do desperate things thinking the doctor will control it & I can sleep 8 hrs. They can't think much beyond that, sadly.
I bet it was Elizabeth Taylor. No sex, totally platonic, but her confession of love for Michael would fit right in with her being his special lady friend.
