According to new reports, Mariah Carey will be performing at Michael Jackson's memorial at the Staples Center on Tuesday morning.
She's reportedly going to perform the Jackson 5 classic I'll Be There.
Mimoo famously covered the song in the '90s on her MTV Unplugged special.

Perhaps you should stop referring her as Mimoo and give her the respect she deserves? After all, she has always been polite and kind towards you and you're not exactly the definition of what we say FIT.
Not only did she famously cover the song, but it because a number 1 hit for her in 1992. In addition, she was good friends with Michael himself so her singing in his memorial is more than just fitting. It's perfect. It's going to be an emotional performance for her and I'm really looking forward to hearing her. Her rendition of the song is always pitch perfect.

I was born in '82, the year Thriller came out. I didn't really didn't know anything about the Jackson 5 or their music until much later and I remember watching around the house in the early 90's while my mom was playing little MJ singing I'll Be There. I turned to my mom and asked, "why is that girl singing Mariah Carey's song?"
Nobody wanted to be near him before! Now everyone is his fan and his friend. Poor MJ… No real friends when he really needed in bad times.
