Michael Jackson's Music - Through The Roof, STILL!

michael_jackson_death_05_we__opt11.jpg

Nothing like a little posthumous comeback!

According to HITS Daily Double, sales of Michael Jackson's "Number Ones" have skyrocketed, hitting the 255 thousand mark at Wal-Mart last week. Throw in sales from other retailers and you easily have 300 thousand.

Good to know that Michael will be remembered for his music.

I guess this proves that motherfucker Pete King is wrong.

The only reason that people are buying his records is because he is dead. People tend to be more famous when they're dead then alive , and of course you know people are hypocrites starting with you pig nose Perez.

According to HitsDailyDouble, Michael Jackson will be #1 in album sales again this week in the United States. Apparently this weekend, Wal-Mart shifted huge numbers of his "Number Ones" album (close to 225,000 copies to be exact) which will surge Jackson back to #1 for the 2nd week in a row.
Hits Daily Double estimates that once final sales are released Wednesday morning the album 'Number Ones' will have shifted north of 250,000 copies. This is more than double last weeks sales for the album. Expect this week to be another Jackson dominated theme. Keep checking Hits Daily Double today and tomorrow for chart results. Michael has 9 of the 10 top albums on billboard and he's outsold all the new releases (which is the first time a catalog album has outsold a contemporary one). When all is said and done, Number Ones will have sold between 300,000-310,000 copies making it by far the best selling album in the US for that week. Essential MJ will come in between 100,000-110,000 and Thriller should be between 90,000-100,000. This means Jackson SHOULD have 3 out of the 5 best selling albums in the US again!

I've been listening to Thriller all week. Wish I had thought to do so earlier - it's such a great album!

HMV today claimed that sales of Michael Jackson's music have outstripped the demand for material by Elvis Presley and John Lennon following their untimely deaths.
Simon Fox, the chief executive of HMV, said that sales of Michael Jackson albums have multiplied by 80 times, totalling 40,000 units, since the singer's death last Thursday. He estimates that across the UK, 125,000 albums by Jackson have been sold since last week.
The music retailer, which had stocked up on albums by the King of Pop in anticipation of his 50 farewell performances at the O2, sold out of CDs on Saturday and is currently re-stocking from Sony.
During his lifetime, Jackson sold over 750 million records and Mr Fox today claimed that the recent surge in demand for CDs surpassed that following Presley's death in 1977 and Lennon's assassination in 1980.
