Palin's attorney, Thomas Van Flein, released a four-page letter (!) as a warning to all the media outlets that ran (or thought about running) with the "defamatory" story that Sexy Sarah "embezzled funds in the construction of a Wasilla, Alaska, sports arena" back in 2002.

While political speech is the MOST protected form of speech and can get by with a lot more than speech in other arenas, it still isn't a complete FREE FOR ALL where lies can be spread knowingly.
