THANK GOD,maybe this sensational Jackson hysteria will calm the eff down and I cant continue to not feel bad for all my MJ jokes. GEEZ. How long can you drag out death people?

i find the whole spectacle exceptionally tacky…especially the idea that they will display the casket prominently so the memorial performers will be singing "to" michael. The family should have had a private burial and then come to celebrate his life and legacy - sans casket. The whole thing is distasteful.

Jennifer H sounds amazing, this must be a difficult gig for her, considering all shes been through recently. Its cool that his band is there onstage with him to, am sure he'd want it that way.
It is so totally, completely freaking me out that this is a performance in addition to a memorial service. Shouldn't it just be people talking about him, not trying to sell a good performance / variety show. I mean seriously WTF. What a testament to MJ's narcissistic family.

Ah, I just realized how rude I sounded because I was upset. I am very sensitive, and it makes me feel uneasy to have a memorial service mixed with showbiz. However, I can only imagine how truly difficult this is for MJ's family and friends. Upsetting enough for his fans.

Doesn't matter what other people think… We all know michael would have wanted people to share the moment together and would have wanted his fan involved. He's not just some normal person, you cant have a normal memorial for the king… Stop arguing and lets just grieve that now the amount of talent that has been bestowed on the world is cut down by half. for those of you who are obviously ignorant about the charges against MJ, here are some facts:
-the first parents that settled out of court sent their child BACK to neverland ranch
-if your child was molested you would NOT settle unless you were the worst parent in the word
-MJ was never found guilty

Re: charliechaplin – Well said !!! Grew up listening to MJ. Great performer and gracious to his fans. This Memorial was for them after all. He was a man in pain. Not everyone can understand why he craved the escape he did. Too bad his doctors gave in to his requests. So many of us have special memories of MJ, let's just keep it that way and save the hate for the doctors that killed him. Yes, their irresponsibility played a huge part in his death.
