OMG how embarrasing this is my hometown and I was actually at this place on sun afternoon. The food is freakin ghetto but for some reason its awesome when your hungover…anyways. Imagine that a private business deciding what they find appropriate in their business. If patrons are being excessive with their public displays of affection, I would expect even straight people to be asked to leave.

As someone born and raised in El Paso (and proud), I have to express:
El Paso is a splendid city known for its culture and hospitality. Unfortunately, has been tainted by the ignorance of one or few individuals. Chicos Tacos is the city’s most known eatery (whether people like it or not). I think PDA by heterosexual or homosexual couples should be kept appropriate to the surrounding circumstances. A family oriented restaurant is no place for ANY couple to make out. HOWEVER, if the couple who got kicked out, kissed with discretion, I do believe the officers’ comments were out of line, and consequences should follow.
As far as El Paso being home to inbred idiots; some of the world’s best engineers, NASA astronauts, and media and sport personalities (to name only a few) are from El Paso. It is home of The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) AND the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine. The El Paso Community embraces diversity in all its forms, and hosts events such as the “El Paso Gay Pride Festival”, African American Heritage events, and IT is the world’s largest border community.
NOW LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING! IF someone doesn’t feel welcomed in El Paso, Something must be wrong.

The state of Texas cannot be held for city issues. Fort worh is apart other cities. I know El Paso has not had to deal with an issue like this before. As a former teacher (going back to grad school), we had two transgendered children in the school I taught at. (8th graders) They were not harassed or treated differently by anyone.

This was one issue out of over 600k people. In a metro pop of 2 million. Seriously. Blame the security guard, not the city.

I'm from EP and generally its a decent city, granted that Texas it self is anti-gay most people in EP are laid back, note that no one knows exactly what happens these things are always he said, she said, they said situations, but we know this is that if they got kicked out for PDA, understandable but I'm here in EP and at times go to Chicos and I've never seen security guards tell hetero couple to step out when they're on top of each other as a matter of fact it happens a lot. Heteros on top of each other and no not just kissing most of the crowd goes there after a night of dancing and drinking so most of the time they are literally on top of each other, and none of us complain so why are they complaining about us now. As far as the family children issue the reported incident happened at 12:30 AM so your telling me you and your family were with your kids at 12:30 AM? rather odd?
