Mariah Too Choked Up, Explains Jackson Memorial Performance

carey_mj_memorial.jpg

Mariah Carey has posted a lengthy explanation on her Twitter about her performance yesterday at Michael Jackson's memorial!

Carey was noticeably choked up while performing the Jackson 5's I'll Be There at the Staples Center on Tuesday.

Writes Mimi:

"Just recovering from the day. Still filled w/sadness as we listen to KJLH in LA (Stevie Wonder's radio station) paying tribute to MJ. Trying to sing today was basically impossible for me. I could barely keep myself from crying. I'm sorry that I wasn't able to pull it together and really do it right, but I was literally choked up when I saw him there in front of me.

One thing I know is, we will never really have to say goodbye to MJ. His legacy lives on through his music and the millions of people. He inspired with his timeless music. He will be forever in our hearts."

Aw, Mimoo!

Excuses Jennifer Hudson sounded amazing and she was nervous.

She should explain why she thought flaunting her big, fake boobs at a nationally televised memorial service was appropriate. If she was choked up, it was probably from being top-heavy and not on her back.

Once again Mariah is a selfish diva bitch drawing attention to herself. Somehow she always manages to make the issue her thing!

she did a good job..she's fckin MARIAH CAREY…i couldnt even tell she was that chocked up..regardless kudos for her and a middle finger to any one who thinks diffrent.

TBH I'm not her biggest fan but her performance wasn't too bad but the over-the-top hand movements were uncalled for.

I'm not a big fan of hers, but when she sang I'll be there with a cracked up voice I thougt it was much more beatiful than many of the other performances. You really could tell that she was taken by the moment!
Memorials are all about letting your feelings out. Those who spoke or sang perfectly were just boring beacuse you could not feel their love or their sadness for their so called friend!
      So thumbs up for Mariah

Re: andoange – Not a known paedophile considering he was proved innocent. He even had some of his accusers admit that it was bullshit, that the parents were just in it for the money. They didn't care if they tarnished his name. Plus I know this has been said before on other blogs but if he was a paedo, then why have others not come out and said something??

      Aaah it wasn't that bad.

no one who performed that day was on their mark.. It is practically impossible to sing at a memorial service, esp if the casket is in front of you! She made me cry.. Poor Mariah! It had 2 be so hard to keep her composure.

Re: NDmom – hahahha yeah she was searchin for her voice there somewhere hahahaha. Its true what u said though, jennifer hudson has been thru shit and the difference between them is unreal

Mariah needs to learn how to sing without continuously moving the opposite hand. She looked like a struggling conductor. Oh and Mariah, nice do…more like a don't!

Mariah, there is no need for you to apologize. You did fine, under the circumstances. It was a memorial service, not American Idol. If you had sang the song perfectly, than these assholes on here would have accused you of showing off. The dress is wonderful; I've seen prom dresses more revealing. It's too bad a lot of people on here have the personality of a 90 year old woman to not see it was an elegant dress.

y'no, I liked Mariah back when she did this song on Unplugged. I think I liked her up until she released Butterfly, then she just got obnoxious…

Anyways, if this was her performance that she felt she needed to apologize for, she's wrong. This humanized her to me. It was beautiful.

She should apologize for Glitter and WiseGirls.

Oh and BTW, we get it Mariah, you have boobs. Put them away every once & a while. Thx
