Michael Jackson Honor Hits A Roadblock
Filed under: Michael JacksonAt the Michael Jackson memorial yesterday, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee made a promise to have the U.S. House of Representatives honor the King of Pop.
The Texas Democrat, took the stage Tuesday and presented a framed copy of the resolution, embossed with a gold seal. The motion will soon be debated on the House floor, but it will come across some heavy opposition.
Rep. Peter King, a New York Republican who recently called Michael a "pervert, child molester, pedophile" on a posted YouTube video this week, vowed to do "whatever I have to do" to oppose honoring Jackson.
If someone in the House is opposed to a motion, they are within their rights to ask for a recorded vote, which then requires a two-thirds majority for passage. And we'd bet anything King will force a recorded vote.
But we don't see the Congresswoman backing down either!
If you missed it yesterday, watch as the Congresswoman pays special tribute to the King of Pop during the memorial service (above).

How about we honor our fallen soldiers instead that gave their lives for our freedom? What kid of fanfare do they get?
Honoring a pedophile and drug addict? Seriously?
PETER KING NEEDS TO DO SOME DAMN RESEARCH BEFORE ACCUSING MICHAEL.
He WAS a pedophile though…it's obvious! whether he bought his acquittal or not he was a molester!
Funny, a pedestal for a pedophile. In Canada we just put them in jail.
Re: cheryl – We do honor our soldiers! We have parades, several holidays, programs for them. MJ is getting a funeral and a resolution.
enough already with jackson
good performer yada yada
lets get on to something really important
Nice gesture, but there are issues that are SO much more important that this it is not even funny. The economy, a war, national security…Congress doesn't have time to waste. Also, I understand he was a musical legend, but plenty of other people are more heroic than he ever was for our country (soldiers).
I like how she ripped into Peter King without mentioning names. That was classy.
her speech was awesome i loved it - so moving
that peter king guy is a bitter old jealous son of a bitch - i hope he rots in hell - just because he has never done anything worth being honoured except putting down the most talented person on the planet and being a hater
dispicable and disrespectful and disgusting old man he is
Re: Brownin – EXACTLY! - EVERYONES INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY SO WHERE DOES THIS OLD FUCKER GET OFF ACCUSING PEOPLE OF BEING PEDOPHILES?!
Honor him for what? Being a dope addicted, child molester? I absolutely forbid any of my tax dollars to be donated to this cause! And I don't care that he wasn't "convicted". He was guilty the minute he paid 20 million in hush money to that boys family. He died after years of drug abuse and we shoud honor him. Oh please! That is what he hell is wrong with society today. That is why kids don't have real role models and why they are they way they are. Oh jeez…I'm gonna go throw up now.
That big CHEESE eatin' bastard needs to SHUT the HELL up!!
I'll say in about six months, something will surface about that fat loudmouth azz PUNK. People in GLASS houses…..that's all I'm sayin'.
RIP MJ
Really? Does our Congress have nothing better to do than honor a dead celeb? She needs to get her ass back where it should be and quit trying to become a celeb.
Re: tick_tock_tick_tock – 10
You need to do some research on Sheila Lee…she is a nut case in Texas. She actually ask people to allow her to speak at funerals….she tries to do 4-5 funerals a day! No one in Texas listens to her. I guess a child molester and drug addict is someone she would look up to. Being from Texas, she should be promoting Farrah…someone that can be looked up to…and helping with cancer fundraising.
I think entertainers get enough honors in the money they make and during those self-aggrandizing awards shows. Unless an entertainer makes a significant impact to our country outside of the role of entertainer, I think it's ludicrous for either house of Congress to be honoring them.
Re: tick_tock_tick_tock – Were you a fly on the wall in his house? Have you seen this with your own eyes? Is their a video tape that I don not know about. You seem awfully sure…Does it take one to know one???
Personally I thought her presence was inappropriate because she is a politician. Congress has more important issues at hand…..like our country falling apart!
Re: RhoyaleBlu – WOW intelligent argument Blu. MJ bought his innocence. How do you explain the hush money? He was a pedophile, who killed himself by his OWN drug intake, and didn't have a hit song years. Why the F**K are we honoring him again?!???
yes, Biden just announced that the economy was worse than everyone thought and another economic stimulus is needed. Meaning, the government made too many boo-boos in giving out the first 1.3 trillion sooo, they have to print up another trillion or so. so, why waste the time making sure that the banks aren't going to waste the money this time, lets spend the time arguing whether MJ was a saint or a god. and at the same time, I am sure a bunch of pork belly projects will go through. if they really wanted to do something good for mj, strict laws that make doctors lose their license when they are caught doing this bogus prescription crap.
If she wants to honor him she can find a way to help pay for L.A.'s costs for the memorial.
"everyone is innocent until proven otherwise" so true, he was never proven to be a pedophile. and i agree with al when he spoke to michael's children: "your daddy was not strange. what your daddy had to go through was strange."
furthermore, anyone who can take this much attention from other wordly issues deserves a memorial fit for a king. no one complained when the media focused their attention on princess diana. he deserves all this media and recognition for being who he is and his talents. fallen soldiers are recognized on a daily basis. this is just one month of recognizing someone else. give him a break people… especially cheryl… seriously girl
Wow another amazing waste of tax payer dollars! Congressman King is completely in the right about this. We should be honoring our soldiers, and hard working families. But once again why the hell would we do anything with tax payer money that would actually help tax payers. .Lets just throw a big ass party for a child molester!
At least she can't play the race card when he didn't even want to be black anymore if congress does the right thing and shoots this craziness down. I don't really care that he died, I heard the news about 3 minutes after being notified of a mass casualty in my husband's bn, so that really kept it all in perspective. Not that any of you would have heard, heroes injured and dying aren't really newsworthy in this country. But I don't want my tax dollars wasted on that crap, particularly, as someone already pointed out, there are so many other issues to try to solve, work that needs to be done by our elected officials. If she puts half the effort into the very real problems facing this country as she would put into the MJ tribute, we might actually see some of this *change* we've been promised over and over again. Now, I'm not holding my breath on that, but one can *hope*.
To all the Peter King-supporting fucktards who say "I'm not honoring a pedophile and a child molester"… Burn in hell. MJ was NOT a child molester OR a pedophile. Jordan Chandler admitted that he lied about MJ abusing him, he only accused him because his father told him to so he could get his hands on MJ's cash. I'm so fucking sick of judgemental, closed-minded people who believe everything they read in the tabloids. Guess you never learned to think for yourself.
Re: Janesrevenge – Nobody said that YOU had to honor him. If you don't like him that is your opinion…Obviously you are in the minority. Also, do you have solid proof? I mean did you see it happen with your own eyes? Is their a videotape circulating that I didn't know about? I am not saying he didn't do it but seeing is believing. Oh and celebs use 'hush money' a lot when they don't want to deal with the situation…don't be new.
Seriously… To those that dont think he was a pedophile…. if you were wrongly accused of touching a kid, would you continue to have kids spend the night at your house without adult/3rd party supervision?
She was awesome!!!!!
Oh and SHUT THE FUCK UP about soldiers already. They chose to fight this war. And war is not what's gonna make this world a better place. Now Michael, on the other hand, made people from around the world come together with his music. He did more for peace than any war could ever do.
Re: Aimee999 –
Seriously… To those that dont think he was a pedophile…. if you were wrongly accused of touching a kid, would you continue to have kids spend the night at your house without adult/3rd party supervision?
I love the innocent until proven guilt argument. What if you are never caught? Does that make you innocent? Everyone forgets that the DA had evidence that they kid had been given Wine and cough syrup before MJ molested him. The problem is that nobody can PROVE that MJ gave it to him. Then there was LaToya on Larry King saying she believed he had done it which she retracted. Do you think she retracted it on her own? And, lets not forget Corey Feldman when he said MJ had shown him porn as a kid. There is an old saying " where there is smoke ". Everyone knows that he was guilty, just like OJ……..he was aquitted too…..remember?
regardless if he touched little kids or not, why should he be honored by congress? he made records… years ago. congress has much better things to worry about than some has-been who OD-ed. This is getting rediculous. people are crying over some one that they never even knew personally, people going to a fucking funeral/memorial for someone they never knew! and it was aired on tv! seriously, this makes me sick. he made no valuable contribution to society. he was not a hero in any sense of the word and heros are the only people that should be honored by the government.
Re: Laury – you're very ignorant about the military if you think the soldiers choose where, when, and against whom they fight. however, choosing to join the military to fight for freedom and liberty, not only for ourselves, but for the oppressed citizens of other nations is a very noble calling. 'greater love has no man than this, that he lay down his life for his friends'…not to mention people he's never even met. a soldier paying the ultimate sacrifice for his country is a selfless act, unlike a troubled entertainer succombing to the effects of drugs.
Re: BigBri – oh please… that argument works both ways.
if you had suspisions that someone was molesting your son, would you continue to let your son stay at the persons house?
after researching EVERYTHING about the chandlers, arvizos and the trial i will never ever believe that michael done anything wrong and no-one will convince me otherwise.
just like one of the jurors said "there was NOTHING that convinced me that michael had commited a crime throughout the whole trial, NOTHING" those are not my words but the words of a juror.
You know, with all the terrible shit happeneing in our country and overseas…this idiot Congresswoman needs to take her head out of her ass and do some real work to help our country recover.
Y does every1 use "innocent until proven guilty" bs. Do you know how many people wriggled there way & looped through the system? Y'all are all immature, like MJ.Whether he touched little boy or not he was inappropriate(sleeping naked in bed w/ sev kids which he admitted to)the "peter pan syndrome" isnt an excuse…it shoudve been treated like the sickness it was.it was damaging to children and to his reputation.he shouldve nvr been allowed to have kids..then again a lot of people shouldnt. he was a drug addict, plastic surgury addict(way to teach kids to be comfortable in their own skin),and highly inappropriate w/ kids.He was a child in a mans body, very unhealthy.y do u think he spoke like he was 5 and was extremely shy…but the fact was he was an adult & had adult consequences for his actions. Even though every1 wants to coddle him b/c he made "thriller." Face it, he had MAJOR issues. I mean have y'all been blind & deaf for the past 30 yrs or what?
Re: Laury – you're very ignorant about the military if you think the soldiers choose where, when, and against whom they fight. however, choosing to join the military to fight for freedom and liberty, not only for ourselves, but for the oppressed citizens of other nations is a very noble calling. Shelia Jackson Lee is a famewhore. She never misses a chance to be in front of the camera. She shows up to speak at funerals of people in her district without being invited. She's a big old racist.
Re: stully22 – actually michael done more than just make records, he has given more to charity than most, he certainly supports the most charities and he is in the guiness book of records for doing so.
he saved a little boys life by tirelessly scanning the world for a kidney, without it he would have died. the list goes on and on for these kind of things michael has done.
michael was a humanitarian through and through, whether that deserves to be honoured? i dont know and quite frankly i dont care, because michael didnt help the world for that, he done it because he cared. to say that all michael done was make records is a slight understatement.
Re: cheryl – Nothing against the men and women who lost their young lives for this Country, but that IS what they signed up for right? It isn't like it's a damn Vietnam war where the soldier's were drafted against their will, so cut the 'fallen soldiers' arguement. Pretty lame.
Re: Janesrevenge – Why is it that ugly ass bitches and skank's ALWAYS have something foul to say about MJ? Hide your fucking pic if your gonna say stupid shit like that, you're a fucking useless hateful whore. Why would you show your fucking face for the World to see?
Re: wineaux – What WORK are YOU doin? Blowin your suga daddy every night to keep a roof over your head? "Take a look at yourself and make a change", By MJ Bitch.
Re: Frag The Paps – With the retarded disgusting shit you say, why would you put a pic up of children?? I would be ashamed to have a mother like you.
Surely politicians have more important things to argue about?
Michael's had a wonderful memorial - why does the House of Reps need to honor him?? This woman is just another trying to jump onto the Jackson bandwagon…
Re: Laury – and furthermore, according to your logic (soldiers deserve to die because they chose to be soldiers), drug users, like your esteemed MJ, would deserve to die for choosing to be drug users. you can't have it both ways. and i sincerely hope you don't actually believe he did more, or anything, to promote world peace. he was a celebrity. you, and others, might choose to elevate celebrities to the status of saint, or your case god, but that doesn't make it so. i could decide the moon was made of blue cheese, insist on it, believe it with every fiber of my being, but that doesn't make it so.
Do some simple research people. Little boy Jordan NEVER retracted his statements of sexual abuse, NEVER. Also, not to take away from Mr. Jackson's charity work, but he was honored for his charity work in Guiness book of World Records in 1980!! That was 29 years ago. Come on!! He "supported" 39 charties with several million. Supported also doesn't mean he gave everyone of those charities money. Several million is alot of money to you and me, but that is a tax write off to a celebrity. Yeah, thanks for "supporting" your local charities, but what did he do that wasn't a tax write off, and what did he do that wasn't a fraction of the BILLION dollars he earned in his lifetime??? He shouldn't be honored with any congressional BS award.
Re: kallengirl – true–charity+tax write-offs.and also equals "look over there at my charity work and not my effed-off face."
charity=tax write-offs*
I cannot believe that this is the kind of shit our leaders are spending time debating.
Re: kallengirl – While I agree that honoring him like this is really unnecessary, I do disagree with your point on how he supported charities. Being a humanitarian doesn't always have to be about giving money, it's also about educating others and giving of your own time and self which he did quite a bit of. Granted you can look at it like he should have given more money for all he made but honestly how much of your money are you giving? I know I can say I don't give as much as I could or should (honestly I pick and choose carefully, to many are scams when you look into where the money is going). It's easy to write a check and feel accomplished. It's hard to go out on the streets and meet children whom are homeless and try to break a barrier to help them. Or to do work with the sick and dying. You don't always go home feeling accomplished.
Re: kallengirl – PART 1.
In 2005 details about his 1993 settlement leaked. Remember, the boy REFUSED to testify, thats why a settlement happened in the first case. The leaked settlement document in 2005 reveals several interesting facts:
1) Michael Jackson denied any wrongdoing.
2) The boy and his parents could have still testified against Jackson in the criminal trial.
3) Jackson only settled over claims of negligence and not over claims of child molestation.
In cases where a negligence charge is bought before a defendent, it's common for insurance agencies representing stars to have an "out" in their contract that allows them to settle a case contrary to their client's, Michael Jackson's—wishes. Michaels insurance company had legal control over the decision. They over rode Michaels decision and they arranged and paid the settlement. Michael never paid a nickle. Because of double jeopardy, anyone accused of a crime will never have to defend themselves for the same allegation twice unless one trial takes place in civil court and the other in criminal court. This was the situation with Michael Jackson in 1993.
What people also dont realize is that when Jackson paid his settlement, he was settling a civil case not a criminal case; he was not being prosecuted, he was being sued.
Re: kallengirl – part 2. There is a clause in the settlement which states that MJ in no way acknowledges any wrongdoing by signing the settlement. Another clause tells that a settlement in the civil case in no way affects the recipients right to testify in a criminal case. The reason no criminal case was brought in 1993 was that the allegations were pathetic and the D.A had no proof. The D.A presented his case to TWO grand juries (both santa barbara and L.A) and they tossed the case out! There were no proof at all.
The settlement did NOT end the investigation. The Chandlers (accusers) have had the chances to TESTIFY all along, but have refused everytime. Jordy refused to show up in 2005 to testify despite the prosecution begged him. Acoording to MJ's defence attorney, they had FRIENDS of Jordy (the kid) who were going to testify that Jordy told them that his parents forced him to lie. According to private detective Anthony Pellicano, Jordy Chandler told him "My dad only wants cash". His dad was tape-recorded saying that all of this is irrelevant if it helps his kids and that he is going to destroy MJ. The boy never accused MJ of any wrong-doing before he was forced into it by his father. Remember that the mother called this allegations against MJ bs. The kid coulnt either recall details about where and when it had happened, he only said WHAT had happened.
Ya know … your comments make me laugh!
Reminder: You get paid holidays off from work BECAUSE of historical Americans who did MUCH worse.
Jefferson: Screwed his slaves and fathered illegitimate children.
FDR: Various affairs
Reagan: Iran-Contra among other lovely things
Bush: 'nough said on that one
etc. etc. etc.
Needless to say, those who hold themselves "righteous" are no more righteous than the rest of us … a lot of times even worse.
NOTHING about MJ was ever proven. Not one thing. Alleged? Yes. But you can allege anything on anyone with money and expect a payout for silence (or in MJ's case solitude).
So F*** off about the pathetic diatribe that he was a pedophile. Unless he stuck his you-know-what up your you-know-what your comments are baseless, without merit, and a waste of space.
To The "Innocent Until Proven Guilty People" I have 2 questions: #1. Would you still feel that way if he WASNT famous, like if he was your strange neighbor that you didn't know very well, but he was accused of molesting children…would you keep your distance? #2. I'm assuming you feel the same way about OJ?
Re: Irish22 – PART 3.
The insurance company paid out 15 million. 5 million went to his greedy lawyer. 3 million went to his parents and the kid got around 7 million. His father didn’t like that so he sued MJ once again for 60 million dollars. The dad LOST his suit. And then the boy hasn't spoken to his parents since that time. The kid seeked for legal emanicapation at age 14-15 from his parents and got it. DO YOU UNDERSTAND HOW OF A BIG DEAL THAT IS? He didnt wanted to live with his parents. Isnt that strange. Shouldnt his parents comfort him if he was molested? He wanted nothing to do with them so he MOVED out. His mom testified in 2005 saying she has not spoken to her son for 11 years. Over the past five years, the boy has sued his dad twice. One time his dad tried to get his money, the other time in 2006, the boy claimed his dad tried to kill him. His dad tried to choke him and struck his son's head with a dumbbell weight. And at that time he asked a LA court to open his file about a case in LA (presumably the MJ case) but his father found out and COUNTERSUED HIM for a breach of contract because there were an agreement that forbade them to talk about this publicly.
hmm odd how a CONGRESSMAN still calls jackson a child molester and pedophile when he was found not guilty in a court of law. should'nt a congressman hold his tongue with his personal views when they go to slandering the proven innocence of an american citizen. then again he is a republican and we all know they are the bastions of moral righteousness and purity…
i didnt think at first a congressional honor was called for…but then when we think about how many people jackson touched world wide…
and yes he was a bit wacko, but all true geniuses are.
Re: kallengirl –
I've read more than once that in his lifetime he donated hundreds of millions - not to mention leaving a large chunk of his estate to charity as well.
That's a hell of alot more than 'several million' tax write-off darling.
Not to mention his efforts in drawing attention to world issues (care to remember a little ditty called 'Heal the World') - putting effort into something like that has no price tag or tax deduction benefit, it comes from the heart.
Peter King IS a BITCH, dude has issues
Re: cubstl – Please remember that accused is NOT the same thing as guilty. Nor doesnt NOT GUILTY have to be the same thing as innocent, I agree. BUT, when it comes down to Michael Jackson. He WAS innocent based on the evidence, or should I call it the non-existing evidence? Please do not compare MJ's case with OJ.. people keep on doing so. Why? They are two different cases and has NOTHING in common - just that both was aquitted. I have studied BOTH cases and its like apple and orange. Dont compare, cuz its silly. One observer who did attend the trial was Andrew Cohen, chief legal analyst for CBS News. Following the trial he wrote a column addressed to those who were upset with the verdict: "The case against Jackson was so bad that even you would have acquitted him based solely upon the evidence. Yes, it was that bad." Thats just one of MANY legal analysts that followed the trial who said the same thing. The only crime MJ committed was to violate several social norms; norms that a man who dresses funny, lives at an amusement park and refers to himself as “Peter Pan” would certainly pay a higher price for breaking. During his investigation for the trial, Michael was examined by Dr. Stan Katz, a clinical psychologist who concluded that Michael didn’t fit the profile of a pedophile but instead that of a regressed 10 year old.
Was Michael Jackson "strange".. well yes for many people. Does this make him a criminal? NO!
ummmm. isn't there alightly more important issues to discuss???
lame
Re: daustinb – Hell fuckin yeah #56!
Very well said.
She said the truth.
He was never a pedophile!
Re: tick_tock_tick_tock – Re: tick_tock_tick_tock – He is not a pedophile. He was not proven guilty and like Sheila Jackson Lee said, "Innocent, until proven guilty"
look, the man was an amazing entertainer and performer. He is absolutely the king of pop, but a resolution in the house?! what a fucking waste of taxpayer's money!! Give me a fucking break sheila jackson lee. And yes, he was acquited, but he admittedly had sleepovers in his bed with young boys. (No other person in the world would've been allowed to get away with that) can't we question that he's not worthy of some stupid declaration in the senate because there's some questionable behavior? I mean come on?!
Re: daustinb – you're a fucking moron who probably doesn't even know what the "Iran/contra" was…dipshit
This Peter King guy needs to get his facts straight! He isn't a pedophile or molester. His choices weren't great but he didn't do anything to any children. He felt like he was living a childhood he never had with all those kids. As for the soldiers, we have so many holidays dedicated to them and they get discounts at tons of places (Matinee). He was a great person, he loved everyone he met, and even when he's dead he still gets crap! He deserves that Honor.
R.I.P Michael Jackson
you have got to be kidding me! this is a joke that it is even being considered and even more of a joke that there are people on this blog (and i'm sure many others on the web) arguing in support of this "tribute" - and not to mention implying that because members of our military signed up then it's fine if they're dead. You should be ashamed of yourselves - many of you probably had ancestors fight and die in for our country and they would certainly be ashamed of you. Military tributes aside….MJ was an entertainer and a great one and you're right the majority of people liked him (regardless of his legal woes) but you can not honestly tell me you think its a good idea for our government to spend OUR money and their time on something like this…. it is insane how selfish and stupid - and yes, I mean REALLY stupid, the majority of our country's citizens apparently are… it paints a very bleak picture for the future of our nation. I'd rather not have children then have them grow up in a world full of really really stupid people
Congresswoman Lee needs to get her butt back to Washington and solve this country's problems!
Now, go eat your donut and drink your coffee and sit your fat is in your nice leather chair by your cherry wood desk and think about all I've just said.
You are pathetic and like you've said about Mr. Jackson "We don't need Michael Jackson".
… Well, Mr. King…We sure as hell don't need a person like you.
So, Mr. King, that's why we made a big deal about his passing. He is a legend, an icon, and idol and he is more stronger, more brave, more giving and more of a man than you will ever be.
So, before you run your mouth Mr. King, know your facts about what you are talking about. Michael Jackson made in impact on the whole world. He was a lyrical God, an amazing giver, he had such a large heart to give his own money to others in need. (Have you done that Mr. King?) His music played when people were sad, happy or angry. His music played when a girl and boy had their first kiss. His heart was bigger then the whole sky.
Michael Jackson gave over $50 million dollars to various charities around the world. Michael Jackson was the only pop star in history to be in the guiness book of world records for most charities to sponser his concerts. Michael Jackson went to visit sick kids and adults in between his concert dates. Michael Jackson met with the house of Rep. and talked to them about finding a cure for the HIV virus. Michael Jackson was the first African American man to have his music videos on MTV, paving the way for other African American artists.
Like I've said before Mr. King, I have NEVER heard of you before in my life. What have you done besides sit on your lazy, fat ass in your fancy office in NYC?!
So, Mr. King worry about yourself and your fellow senators, and try to help turn this economy around and think before you speak so negative about one who you knew nothing about.
Mr. King, Like I've said I've NEVER even heard of you before in my life, but from what I've researched on you, you're not such an angel yourself and I will just keep it at that.
Mr. King, I recall a senator by the name of Ted Kennedy who drowned a women whom he was cheating on his wife with. He was driving drunk in a car with his mistress, didn't watch where he was going on drove the car into a lake where the women later died from being drowned. If I'm not mistaken that is what we call MANSLAUGHTER.
Mr. King, I recall watching on tv, a sentor who was in a public airport bathroom making "hang gestures" under neath the stall of the mens bathroom to another man, trying to seek sexual relations. (Mind you, this senator is married)
If the racist Congresswomen wants to do a proclamation then it needs to be for our brave men and women fighting over seas, and NOT for some disgusting weirdo that is a pedophile and mentally disturbed. Lee needs to shut her racist pie hole. Lee has made it part of her mission to speak at people's funerals where she brings race into it all the time. Disgusting!
ommfg, if there is a Michael Jackson day that will be bullshit! The man is a mother fucking entertainer, not the damn Dalai Lama, not Jesus Christ and not a fucking president.
I love how Perez had to add he was a republican, there are a fuckload of democrats that are dumb fuckers too. *Ahem* John Edwards.
Re: Laury –
You're morals and priorities are totaly fucked. Soldiers fighting and dying for your rights are the reason you are even able to spout this crap about Mikey.
Re: tick_tock_tick_tock –
Are you THAT pathetically desperate for human contact, tick tock… I imagine you're thinking, "If I post something super inflammatory, someone might talk to me." You sit at your computer ALL day waiting for something to post about MJ and then you don't even say anything intelligent or backed by proof. Here's a fact for YOU… 100% of the people who read this will agree that you're a dumbass!
dum dum dum asss!!!!
stupid stupid hello…mr. jackson hated being black jeez
and your black ass wants to honor him!!!
dum
Nielsen SoundScan numbers also show that Jackson sold 800,000 albums last week — nearly double the sales from the previous week.
Data from the week ending Sunday — the first full week since Jackson died on June 25 — show that Jackson claimed the entire Top 10 on the Top Catalog Album chart………….
The Billboard dude was on MSNBC and he says that Michael is breaking records that Billboard has never even seen before. He says that it will happen next week as well.
GO MIKE!!!!!!!!!!!!! COME ON PPL. BUY MORE IF YOU CAN. HELP MJ, THATS THE LAST THING WE CAN DO. BUY HIS MUSIC AND KEEP HIS LEGACY ALIVE!!!!!!
More of our tax money well spent.
I know that 2 year olds have a knack for talking in superlatives; “my daddy is better than your daddy.” Adults on the other hand should be able to appreciate things and people on a level of personal importance without the need to force everyone else in the world to agree. The problem with this whole MJ drama is that so many unstable Jackson fans can’t think about MJ without demanding that we all recognize him as … the best…the greatest…the most. This is why so many people are getting offended about it. For instance, I totally admire Madonna, I have my own personal reasons for the admiration, her dance music positively changed my life. I don’t need anyone else in the world to think Madonna is the best … the greatest … the most. I’m secure that she has meant something valuable for me. Peter King, tons of others, and I are worn out with all the Jackson hero worship. If he’s that good then what’s with the perverted need to force others into thinking he was the best. He certainly wasn’t the best for me.
ok MJ was great and all but the government of the United States should not have to honor a pop idol.
