The Claws Come Out! Rutherford Slams Ex-Husband

Gossip Girl's Kelly Rutherford has gone on the record with Life & Style Weekly about her split from ex-husband and babydaddy Daniel Giersch.
Long before the bitter custody battle of their children Hermes and newborn Helena, Rutherford thought her second pregnancy with Hermes could save her marriage!
A baby is not a band-aid!!!!
Says Rutherford: "I found out I was pregnant, and I thought, Oh, maybe things will be nice, maybe it will be calm… But it wasn't. Things only got more intense."
If he was a rotten husband before, what made her think he'd change his tune with another baby???
Kelly made the brave decision to leave her husband in month three of her pregnancy with the support of her friends. Confidantes of the Gossip Girl star recognized that Rutherford's marriage was toxic and hoped she would free herself from Giersch's grip.
Rutherford's friend Suzannah described her friend's ex-husband as "cold, controlling and paranoid."

"He threatened to ruin her career and sabotage her," Suzannah revealed to Life & Style. "He gave me the creeps, and he was beginning to get scary. We spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to get away."
In fact, if it were up to Rutherford, she wouldn't have Giersch wouldn't be involved in the childrens' lives at all!
"The most important thing is that the children have love and stability in their lives, whether that comes from a mother or a father," says Kelly. "[Alone], I can raise them to be much more peaceful."
Too bad for Rutherford that it's up to the judge to decide!

She hates the thought of the father having those kids in his care even for a minute. But she probably will have to give him visitation if not joint custody. I feel kind of sorry for her handing over that precious little girl to him. She'll be worried sick every minute they're not in her care, but there's probably not much she can do about it.
