True To His Word, No Memorial For Quincy Jones

Just as he said, Quincy Jones didn't attend the Michael Jackson memorial on Tuesday.

Where was he at?

Instead, he went to the Sunflower charity dinner during the 44th Karlovy Vary Film Festival in the Czech Republic.

And he had some nice arm candy to accompany him!

      And he said Michael Jackson wants to be white. Isn't that hypocritical of a black man who only dates white women saying that another black man wants to be white? And he also refused to attend the funeral of the man that put his face/name on the map. If it weren't for MJ, nobody would/will no who Quincy Jones is, and I'm sure no white girls would/will want to have his baby.

      Quincy dates white women. So? Did he bleach his skin, cut off his nose, disfigure himself beyond human recognition and then have three 100% white test tube babies? No. Maybe Quincy is just trying to be respectful in the wake of Michael's death and not come out and say that he is sickened by the way he lived. Maybe he considers it best just to stay quiet and stay away. That's his right.

      Quincy and Michael did have a "falling out" a long time ago, mainly because Quincy wanted to control the music and what was put on the albums. Quincy wanted to axe "Billie Jean" which was one of Michael's biggest hits. (Good thing Michael didn't listen to him). It made me sick how Quincy took a shot at Michael after he died talking about his "white skin and white children". Quincy just sounded like a bitter old racist.

      Quincy is the man! I don't blame him for not attending…I'd rather have moments of joy in my life then attend funerals when I'm 75 years old, I don't care if no one attends mine, I'll be dead anyway.

      I think he should have attended. It that would have been Stevie Wonder or Smoky Robinson Im sure he would have. No matter what differences you may have with someone in your past once someone dies you should put that aside.
      Im sure if it would have been the other way around Micheal would have attended and even spoke.

      Everyone does grief in a different way. Michael was so big in Quincy's life that studiously and quietly tip toeing around it would be one way to go, rather than volunteering to have your heart completely ripped out in one day.

Walking around with a white woman on your arm doesn't speak to him being proud of his own ethnicity otherwise he wouldn't date them EXCLUSIVELY. Also, if you heard Michael's dermatologist speak on the Larry King show, he confirmed that he had vitiligo with more depigmented areas than pigmented one's. So ALL these years of people saying that he wanted to be white, he REALLY did have a skin disorder -which, I would imagine is quite traumatic, especially for someone in the public's eye. AND, he's not the only celebrity to go nuts with the plastic surgery. When white people plump their lips are they trying to be black? Then, to have your so-called "big brother" diss you in the media, perpetuating the lie…guess he wasn't so sickened by the way MJ lived his life to stop collecting those Thriller paychecks.
