New York congressman, Rep. Peter King, is standing by his Youtube video, in which he refers to the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson, as a "pervert" and child molester.
The Republican representative explained to Bill O'Reilly on The O'Reilly Factor that his comments had no racist pretense and that he is saying "what millions of Americans really felt."

Part 1.
In 2005 details about his 1993 settlement leaked. Remember, the boy REFUSED to testify, thats why a settlement happened in the first case. The leaked settlement document in 2005 reveals several interesting facts:
1) Michael Jackson denied any wrongdoing.
2) The boy and his parents could have still testified against Jackson in the criminal trial.
3) Jackson only settled over claims of negligence and not over claims of child molestation.In cases where a negligence charge is bought before a defendent, it's common for insurance agencies representing stars to have an "out" in their contract that allows them to settle a case contrary to their client's, Michael Jackson's—wishes. Michaels insurance company had legal control over the decision. They over rode Michaels decision and they arranged and paid the settlement. Michael never paid a nickle. Because of double jeopardy, anyone accused of a crime will never have to defend themselves for the same allegation twice unless one trial takes place in civil court and the other in criminal court. This was the situation with Michael Jackson in 1993.
What people also dont realize is that when Jackson paid his settlement, he was settling a civil case not a criminal case; he was not being prosecuted, he was being sued.
Umm they didn't drop the charges they settled… i believe it was 20 million to each child, which they had to accept because there wasn't a judge in the world who was going to find Jackson "guilty."
News was slow and his death gave everyone a reason to party and sing at his funeral to further their careers… I am personally happy that Hollywood used his death just like he used those little boys for selfish and perverse reasons.

PART 2. There is a clause in the settlement which states that MJ in no way acknowledges any wrongdoing by signing the settlement. The reason no criminal case was brought in 1993 was that the allegations were pathetic and the D.A TOM SNEDDON had no proof. The D.A presented his case to TWO grand juries and they tossed the case out! There were no proof at all.
The settlement did NOT end the investigation. The family have had the chances to TESTIFY all along, but have refused everytime. Jordy refused to show up in 2005 to testify despite the prosecution begged him. Acoording to some reports, MJ's defence attorney had FRIENDS of Jordy (the kid) who were going to testify that Jordy told them that his parents forced him to lie. According to private detective Anthony Pellicano, Jordy Chandler told him "My dad only wants cash". His dad was tape-recorded saying that all of this is irrelevant if it helps his kids and that he is going to destroy MJ. The boy never accused MJ of any wrong-doing before he was forced into it by his father. Remember that the mother called this allegations against MJ bs. The kid coulnt either recall details about where and when it had happened, he only said WHAT had happened.

The kid seeked for legal emanicapation at age 14-15 from his parents and got it .His mom testified in 2005 saying she has not spoken to her son for 11 years. Over the past five years, the boy has sued his dad twice. One time his dad tried to get his money, the other time in 2006, the boy claimed his dad tried to kill him. His dad tried to choke him and struck his son's head with a dumbbell weight. And at that time he asked a LA court to open his file about a case in LA (presumably the MJ case) but his father found out and COUNTERSUED HIM for a breach of contract because there were an agreement that forbade them to talk about this publicly

I'm from New York and I think Peter King is a real douche bag. First of all, I don't care what anyone's personal opinion is of MJ as we are all allowed to have one but there is a time and place to voice that opinion. MJ had just died, his family and fans were in mourning and his children had just lost the only parent they'd ever known. Their whole world had been turned upside down. What Mr. King did was tasteless, tacky, rude and disrespectful to those who truly loved MJ. He was a music icon and no one can deny that. He didn't deserve to be treated with such disrespect. MJ's children and family didn't deserve to be treated with such disrespect.
Mr. King used MJ's death as a vehicle to promote himself which is quite disgusting in iteself. It is terribly offense to hear someone speak of the dead in such a manner. MJ was found not guilty and Mr. King should know that it is a case for liable and slander to be saying such things in public on tv. I think MJ's family should sue the pants off him. I also think he should issue a public apology for being so tacky and hurtful when a family was mourning the loss of their loved one. Just because you love someone as an entertainer, and appreciate the skill with which he can sing and dance, doesn't mean that you can't be aware of who Michael Jackson really was…a repressed child with a sexual and emotional appetite for little boys. I have no idea if MJ ever sexually abused little boys, but he did as a matter of a 25 year record prefer their company. He slept in a bed with young boys, cuddled with them, and had intense emotional relationships with them. Why didn't they leave? Why don't they ever leave? Why don't all abused woman leave? That is a stupid statement. He IS a child molestor. Since MJs death, I'm surprised that everyone has forgotten about not the one, but TWO trials. Hasn't anyone seen "living with Michael Jackson?" He clearly points out that he thinks its okay to sleep in the same bed as a child of no relation. MJ had a lot of mental issues from his abusive father, witnessing sexual acts as a child from his brothers with women. The stats on abused children growing up to be abusive are huge! Everything that MJ said about the issue was .. sketchy and eybrow raising. He was trying to relive his childhood with "Neverland", I think for a bit he forgot that he was an adult, and adults are to act a certain way with children. I don't think he had a filter of what was appropriate and what was not.
I completely agree with the congressman. It's one thing to see the news updates on celebrity sites such as this one but on the news? It is disturbing that our nation is putting so much focus on MJ. We can focus and celebrate the awesome music he had made and dance moves but lets face it MJ himself was nothing more than a pill poppin pedophile weirdo.

if the question is do a lot of americans feel the same way the congressman does then i think the answer is yes. from what ive seen and heard from blogs, "tweets," comments sections of various websites, from people in school and work it's probably true that there is a good portion of the american public that think MJ is a perv, child molestor. you dont have to go far to see some evidence of that, just look at the comment section here.

Peter King should be focusing his attention on bigger issues. God knows, he's paid (by taxpayers) to do a lot more than trash a dead man.
Note that he never came down so hard on fellow repub congressman, Larry Craig, when he was caught cruising airport restrooms. Craig actually legally owned up to being a perv (thinking that it would make the whole story go away).
