Law enforcement in NJ busted the comedian Friday afternoon after he got into a minor car accident and was suspect to be intoxicated.

So much for his clean and sober act. The guy needs rehab. Not his pseudo, half assed rehab schemes he goes through. It is hard to feel sorry for the guy since he knows he has a problem and refuses to go to a real rehab facility. Granted Howard Stern is the biggest enabler. I guess now that Artie has gone from the loveable guy to annoying who interrupts interviews and tries to make the show about him, Stern will now put his foot down and force him to get rehab or leave the show.

I love Artie…I've loved Artie before he even joined Howard's team, but I am very disappointed that he endangered other people's lives. I'm sure he's driven while intoxicated more than once and it is very cruel of him to risk the lives of others.
All I want for him, is to get sober and be healthy, happy and safe. It's one thing to risk your own life, but to endanger others is intolerable. Shame on you Artie.

Artie is driving the 2009 Nissan because his Mercedez was hit and sustained damage in the parking lot of the airport when he went on his gig to raise money for Capt. Janks. He talked about how much money he lost durng that gig, and his car sustained about $10,000 in damage.

I like to have a drink when I'm out to dinner sometimes so I BOUGHT A BREATHALYZER so that now BEFORE I drive, I can see if I'm OK to drive. You know that just one drink can put you over the limit if you don't wait long enough? It has really changed things because I sometimes sit for an extra half hour before I blow a .06 which is below the legal limit. I realize after I have a drink it takes an hour to be below the legal limit. AN HOUR! Driving drunk puts others in danger at worst and at best can cost thousands if you get a DUI. Go to Ebay or wherever to buy one. I paid $50. Best $50 I ever spent. Or just don't drink at all but I do like to have a glass of wine from time to time so BE SAFE if you're like me!!!
Now, heroin is a different matter which it seems Artie could have been on (again). I pray Howard puts ratings aside and kicks Artie off to go check in somewhere for 6 months or else lose his job.

Howard is going to be really pissed. For months he has been boorish, interrupting Howard's train of thought and telling long stories about, "a buddy of min." Then every time Howard mentions someone we have to hear a long ponderous, name-dropping story about how Artie knows or worked with the guy. He is there to make Howard funny and he has stopped doing that. It has become painful to listen to. I have been thinking that he switched his drug of choice, because he finds himself very facinating. Im thinking oxy or coke. Either way, I'm betting Howard is thinking Monday morning ratings or fire Artie. hmmmn. In the long run, I think he will give him a choice: rehab or termination. Who ever thought I would look back on the days of Jackie the Jokeman with fondness. All he did was slip Howard jokes and laugh. Poor Artie. I really love the guy.
