Billy Bob's Daughter To Remain In Jail!
Billy Bob Thorton's daughter, Amanda Brumfield, is not leaving jail anytime soon!
An Orange County, Florida, judge ruled that Brumfield, who is being held on a first-degree murder charge, will be kept in jail until an expert witness testifies on evidence heard during a pretrial release hearing.
Brumfield claims that while watching her best friend's 1-year-old daughter, Olivia Garcia, the baby fell to the ground while straddling the top of her playpen.
What kind of babysitter lets a child do that?!
The child died a short time later and her death has been ruled a homicide.
Judge Bob Wattles is waiting for Dr. Jan Garavaglia to expand on the six bruises on the child's head and 3.5-inch skull fracture found during the autopsy before the defendant's possible release.
Brumfield was shaking and crying between her two attorneys.
She refused to look at the autopsy photos viewed in the courtroom, yet other viewers began crying upon seeing the graphic images.

I have 2 kids who have fallen from higher than that and are fine at most a few stitches. That child did not just fall from her playpen!

Poor little baby
Her story makes no sense. Most one year olds are just learning how to walk. So I doubt this little girl had the strength to pull all of her weight up and straddle the playpen. I have 3 kids of my own the youngest is almost one, and I can tell you its pretty much impossible for a baby to do that. Unless there were boxes or steps in the playpen for the baby to climb up, I would have to say she did something to this child.
we don't all know what happened. but she probably didn't aim to harm the child and was negligent in taking the child to the hospital…but who knows in these situations. its sad all around. Nobody wants to ruin their life by watching their friend's baby. I hope it this isn't a case of deliberate child abuse.

Re: soapgal – Perez does NOT know what happened and that's why his comments and accusations are irresponsible. If he's going to fan the flames, he needs to post all the facts so people can make their own judgments. Most accidents don't happen because someone "let" them - turn your back for 10 seconds on a baby and it's remarkable how quickly tragedy can strike- just ask the many unfortunate people who have had their babies run over in the driveway by a member of the family or whose babies have fallen off a balcony. Let the facts and the evidence dictate your opinion of this woman, not Perez' hasty and typically warped and flawed take on things.

well mabye she did fall…a 1yr old could be mobile enough to climb out if not watched carefully, so mabye she was climbing out and hit her head on a coffee table. or landed very badly. there is obviously some text missing from the quote so we are in the dark moreso than usual..but if what is said about her demeanor in court is true, mabye it was an awful accident…

I still have reasonable doubt about this whole thing.
Some 1 year old's do climb constantly and when they get to the top of the playpen they try to get their foot over it. Either way Billy Bob is a scumbag for blowing his own kid off.
