Gatti's Wife Charged With Murder! Victim Of Domestic Abuse???

The wife of late boxer Arturo Gatti has been charged by Brazilian police with the death of her husband!

Former stripper Amanda Carine Barbosa Rodrigues has been charged with murdering Gatti in his sleep by choking the former junior welterweight champion with her purse strap!!!!

Absolutely horrible.

The couple were in the middle of their second honeymoon at the Dorisol Resort in Porto de Galinhas.

23-year-old Rodrigues in the only suspect in the case - her purse was found by police with blood stains all over it and when questioned by Brazilian cops, Rodrigues' story was "inconsistent and incoherent."

The former exotic dancer "could not explain how she had spent nearly 10 hours in the room without noticing that Gatti was dead," according to police.

Gatti and Rodrigues' relationship was full of dramz, to say the least. According to friends, "the relationship was not based on love" and "it could get violent at times." Rodrigues even threw a lamp at Gatti on a recent vacation, according to Gatti's manager, Pat Lynch.

In fact, the couple had a major blowout at a bar the night before Gatti was murdered!!

Rodrigues told police the two had a fight which led to Gatti smacking her and then pushing her down to the floor!

Could the murder of the former boxer be a case of spousal revenge????

Wow, Perez after EVERYONE pointed out you posted a pic up of a totally different boxer, you delete the WHOLE fucking Article and put up a correct one. I never heard of these people, but this is horrible being that they were celebrating their second honeymoon. Wow. And don't they have a 1 yr old child. Now their child will lose both parents. Let's see how this plays out.

If any of this domestic violence nonsense was true, she should have left him. You don't end someones life because of it. Believe me, she wasn't in danger. He was a great man, all those fights with Micky Ward, he will never ever be forgotten. My thoughts go out to the family.. boxing has lost a true hero. THUNDER lives on..
