Boxing champ Arturo Gatti was found dead in a Brazilian hotel room on Saturday morning, according to police.
37-year-old Gatti and his wife Amanda had been vacationing in the resort town of Porto de Galihnas with his 1-year-old son prior to his death.
Police are still trying to figure out the cause of Gatti's death - there were no external signs of injury (bullet holes, stab wounds) - but they did spot blood stains on the floor of the former junior welterweight champion's hotel room.
Says Police investigator Edilson Alves: "It is still to early to say anything concrete, athough it is all very strange."
Our thoughts go out to Gatti's family and friends, and we only hope they are able to find closure in his sudden death sooner than later.
