I wish they would do this in America. Our teachers should be teaching reading, math and history not talking to our kids about sex of any kind. If this happened maybe our kids test scores would actually go up.

This is awful, and the comments even worse. DO you people actually still exisit? The truth of the matter is people who are "straight" should not even have the right to dictate or impose tolerance. LGBT community has been around since the beginning some of the greates minds in history contributing to philosphy, and today's way of life where in fact part of what we now call the LGBT community. So huff and puff all you like its time to realize that nature keeps a balance LGBT community is part of that balance so shove your tolerance up your as% and understand that we are equal and YOU! have no right to dictate how that equality is exercised in anyones life but your own!

I think it's a good law and I'd like to see it go into effect in the United States as well. I don't think homosexuality is something that children should be exposed to and I'm really tired of having to hear about homosexuality all the time. I'd like to go back to the days when homosexuality was something that people did not talk about all the time.
In some ways I agree, homosexuality is, and will always be a defect in the natural order of humanity, it's not supposed to be promoted and pushed into the faces of young people. At a young age we are still becoming our own person, wether gay or not, we will not fully understand our emotions until later on in life. To idolize being gay is not the correct way to bring up children.
On the other hand, freedom of speech is of upmost importance, and I would never want to empose a law that stopped the discussion of homosexuality all together. Children should be able to talk about it in other situations if they are at all curious. Not school.

All your bad comments about Lithuania are really offensive. I am Lithuanian and can surely say that the community of this country is really open to every culture and every sexuality but you cannot judge our people just because of the wrong decisions of Lithuania's authorities. And for those who think that Lithuanians are "a bunch of stupid Pollacks" I can say that these words are very disrespectful and you just show your ethnical intolerance! And it is very stupid to say that people shouldn't support our products or our country by visiting it.

i know that country, been there once, they have riots nao with their goverment because due to demographic disaster and social diversity majority of people voted for conservative republicans while the youth there is very liberal and quite tight and hip and i should say they enjoy freedom but that may cause some s**t don't care a lot though

yeah this new law sucks, and I hate it too, but not all lithuanians are like that and those who say bad things about Lithuania here should shut up, I'm pretty sure most of you have never been here, so it's pretty stupid to talk bad about something you don't know.
i'm lithuanian. and lithuania is an awesome country. thou it's not that rich, but way better than for eg. UK. first - get to know at least one lithuanian person and get the basic knowledge about the bullshit happening in our parliament and the distance between citizens and any possibility affecting any law, read about all the corruption and other shit, then talk about the country, parliament and the people as a whole. and yes, this new law sucks, but… why the fuck is it SO IMPORTANT that CHILDREN hear about gays lesbians etc? i'm not homophobic, i've got gay friends and they are wonderful people. this law is not an anti-gay propaganda - it's just saving the childhood of the kids, so why don't we pass the law that lets people talk about santa not existing???
ANYWAY this law is not about LGBT - it's about THE CHILDREN. SO LEAVE THOSE LITTLE PEOPLE ALONE.
