Michael Jackson's albums continue to steamroll the competition!
According to SoundScan, 1.1 million MJ albums were sold in the U.S. last week, a sales boost of 37% from the week prior!!!
In fact, over 2.3 million Jackson albums in America alone have been purchased in the two and a half weeks following his passing.

Im so glad I never stopped buying his music. Thank good people still remembers his talent. As soon as tv's and radio's started showing his music again, ppl remembered his talent.. and this is what the majority thinks… goo Michael.. to sell 2,3 million in 2-3 weeks.. the sales will go down in a while. only because he died and he is still in the news ALL THE TIME is his music still selling like it was just put out. I don't hear the stations playing it as much. even when he died, I was surprised I wasn't hearing mj 24/7. guess the djs know better-1 million albums sold-300 million people in the US-so 1 in 300 are buying and that is if the person is only buying 1 album. unlikely. alot are buying up, thinking things are going up in $$$

After Thriller, I remember everyone saying how great he was, applauding all the grammies he got, waiting for the next album, etc. Then the weirdness began. Carrying Bubbles everywhere. Carrying Emmanual Lewis everywhere and he had to be like 18. rumors of buying the elephantman's bones. pics of him in the hyperbauric chamber, talking about peterpan all the time, the voice getting sqeaky. the nose getting smaller and smaller. One, two nose jobs, ok-he was very good looking in the early '80s, NO ONE thought he was strange in 1984. He had MONEY, supported his family and they just 'yessed him' through all the madness.

I feel really bad that I forgot what a genius Michael was until he died and his talent was everywhere reminding me of what I've been missing all these years. I just hope he can somehow see how much he really was and is loved and respected. I recently downloaded some of my favorite MJ songs and can't stop listening to them. In spite of everything they just make me happy and want to dance. Not only do his songs have rad beats but they also have really poetic lyrics. I feel a little obsessed with him right now and I even think he was so sexy, I mean anyone who can move like that!!… : ) Am I the only one who's been having dreams about him every night? no joke!
