Matthew Fox Retiring From TV!!!!

Never say never!
Lost star Matthew Fox, who previously described the upcoming season finale as a "relief," does not foresee doing any television in the near future.
"I am not going to do television again," Fox says. "That is not because I think film is better than television. Not at all, in some respects some of the best story telling is happening on television. I have done two TV shows — Lost and Party of Five — that have each run for six years. When you add it all up it is in the vicinity of 300 hours of television. I want to find a way to have more control over when I am working and when I'm not. I'm looking for more flexibility."
We have a feeling he's soon to have WAY more time on this hands!
"I am (43) and a father of two children, and I don't want to miss them growing up. I don't want to find myself 10 years from now feeling like I was an absentee father because I was so focused on my career," he continues.
When Lost comes to a close, Fox plans to make one or two movies a year.
Good plan, but we wonder if he remembers that huge gap between his two hit TV shows?!

This news is so old mario keep up.
maybe he is good with his money and can afford long breaks.
That is quite an achievement for somebody who cannot act. If he is tired of the tropics, I have heard that there is an opening on huskie fucking movies in the Yukon.
he's hot and always seems like a cool guy on talk shows. hope to see him in movies!
I think that he is a good actor. He was awesome in We Are Marshall. Perez just can't help his hateful self. He has to put down everyone as if he is someone and his opinion matters. What will Perez do when his site goes down and he has no job? Might be a big gap there too.
He is one of the HOTTEST actors out there! love him
I'd watch him read the dictionary. I'd PAY to watch him read the dictionary. And it is way old news. He's such a fantastic actor (and incredibly gorgeous).
Once again, Perez, you are being nastily snide towards a person who has been nothing but upstanding in his public pronouncements. You are such an asshole Perez.
He is actually the reason I stopped watching lost. His expressionless irritable delivery is unwatchable.
He's hot as fuck, but i wish he would stop shaving his chest. His manliness is what i love best about him. However, about the movie thing, didn't both of the movies he made while he was on Lost TANK??????
Retire from what? It can't be acting - he's one of the worst actors ever.
It must be nice to say that you don't want to work because it "gets in the way."
OMG so effing fine!
Good lawd, I agree with Perez (or whoever writing this). He did another series for the UPN between PO5 and Lost that bombed. There's a great chance that he will just disappear after Lost ends. He needs to shut his mouth because chances he will be begging for another tv series 2-3 years from now.
he seems to get better looking the older he gets unlike many actors like brad pitt to name well. mathew fox is aging very well.
What a life, huh? I'm sure lots of people would love to have that life, making one or two movies a year instead of doing the 8+ hours 5 days a week.
Does he really think it's his acting skills and him as a person brought the success to Party of Five and Lost?????? LOLOLOLOL!!!
nooo i love him! I'm gonna be so sad when LOST ends! He's not a bad actor, either! Watch the season 4 finale (part 1 only) and STILL say he's a bad actor.
Of all the crappy shows on T.V. why are we picking on this guy.
Don't be such a pessimist Perez! You don't ever look at the full picture. Party of Five was a decent show with horrible ratings whereas LOST has been an awesome show with huge ratings. Matthew Fox is definitely in a better place career-wise now then he was after PO5.
I don't even know who he is.
Such a talented actor, and really grounds Lost. He will do great in movies.
booohooo
Uhm.. He's hot now but who says that will last so long..In Hollywood you're only as good as your latest film or show.
'Good plan, but we wonder if he remembers that huge gap between his two hit TV shows?!
Exactly.
I love how some actors, who make it big via television, want to turn their backs on it. Not everyone can depend on cinema to carry their career….note to Fox: Ask David Duchovony and David Caruso how well they fared on the big screen. Fox, don't bite the hand that feeds you…..and to be honest, I don't remember one movie that you've been in.
Like other's have mentioned: he most likely has loads of $$. Perhaps he can get on a Showtime or HBO series where the seasons are only 12 episodes.
