Shockingly - but not too surprisingly - a car dealership in a small town in Missouri is offering customers a gun shop voucher for $450: the price of an AK-47.
Mark Muller of Max's Motors explains, "We really are different than the big city dealers." He is, of course, referring to his dealership's history of offering a side of firearms with his cars. Last year they rewarded customers with vouchers for the price of a pistol, the very one that Muller keeps in his pocket. (The jokes write themselves.)
Muller added, "We get a lot of press out of these kind of promotion. We sell a lot of cars. And we have a lot of fun."
Now that sounds like the kind of man for Octo-Mom!

Geesh - you don't get the ACTUAL gun when you sign the papers - it's a voucher to a shop that's subject to the same background checks. What's the difference? People who don't want guns aren't going to get them, and those who do would have gotten them anyways. Would $450 voucher to the local tat shop, or the local liquor store, or to the local Nordstrom's be any different?

I don't get why America allows people to buy guns so freely. The opposite happens if you buy a gun out of a mindless, pathetic reason called 'protection'. You're far more likely to kill one of your family members than you are to kill a burgalar or whatever you'd use it for. Guns should be banned, using a violent objected to counter violence is juat a ridiculous notion; it causes far more death, pain and violence than it actually solves.

While it is true that if you follow the appropriate steps including background checks and having finger prints taken, full-auto AK-47s cost approximately $15,000. The AK-47s that the local gun shop in this town sells are SEMI-automatic, which means, one pull of the trigger, one shot. You can go to any gun shop in America and find the same gun. Plus, it's not the AK-47 that are killing our soldiers in Afghanistan, it's the improvised explosive devices that are doing that.
I would definitely buy a car from this guy just to get the voucher to buy a new Glock. God I love this country and the Second Amendment!!!!!

I live in Missouri and am in favor of gun control. I've never heard of a car dealership doing this in Missouri and I hate that it makes the state and midwest look bad. I hope someone put a stop to this and that this doesn't make people think poorly of people from Missouri. We're not all into guns and we don't have hick accents or cows as pets. Just thought I'd clear up stuff I've heard in the past. It's unfortunate that people think of weapon vouchers as an incentive to buy vehicles. What a dumbass marketing strategy.
I grew up in a household where my father kept a gun. It was off limits and for our protection. However, later in life I became brainwashed by anti gun propaganda. And then my friend was kidnapped by a stranger while walking to her car and was violently and brutally assaulted by him. After that, her father bought her a gun, showed her how to clean and care for it, took her to the gun range and taught her how to shoot to kill. She was from a ultra liberal and wealthy family, but you know what? The police didn't save her. If she had had a gun, and knew what she knows now, she could have saved herself. That's one good reason.
Another would be for everyone who is anti gun would enlighten themselves and study other governments who confiscate guns from their citizens. You will find that citizens' rights are pretty non existent.
If only the criminals, cops and government have guns but guns are not allowed to law abiding citizens, you are looking at an Orwellian hell.

Disgusting!! Gun laws need to be far more strict in the US. I moved from the US to the UK, and I feel far safer now that not every psycho owns a gun. Over here, shooting are rare, and it's only gang members shooting each other with illegally obtained weapons.

I used to be an AR-15 stalwart, but the AK is far more reliable, and as such i have switched most of my AR's in favor of the AK. Kept one .308 DPMS and .338 Lapua on the M4 frame, no .223's anymore.

Hey dazzlingdynamite, yes, it is NORMAL for children to go to the gun range and learn how to use a gun. If you ever seen the movie "The Patriot" it is because Mel Gibson's character educated his kids about guns that they where able to rescue him from the British. That's not a movie, that's real life, what distinguishes Americans from the rest of the world (with the exception of Israel) is that we know how to use guns and how to defend ourselves. After Hurricane Katrina, it was those business owners with guns that kept the looters at bay, it was individuals with guns that didn't get raped, didn't get murdered and didn't get robbed.

The horrific massacre in Mumbai could have been cut short if the people were armed. There would have been more heroes and fewer victims.
Guns allow the law-abiding to protect themselves from criminals, the weak to protect themselves from the strong, women to protect themselves from rapists, and citizens to protect themselves from potentially tyrannical government.
I agree with Sonick808 that a lot of the school shootings have been linked to anti-depressants. But we won't hear a lot about this in the media because of the power of the pharmaceutical companies.

My husband used to work for this guy….clearly a pyscho path he said. He turned off all the lights in the car dealership and said to his employees' "now try to find me".
