NeYo Punks Out, Cries Onstage, And Postpones Concert In Manchester
Filed under: Anglophilia > Music Minute > NeYoNeYo was feeling more than just a little under the weather Thursday night at his UK concert in Manchester. The R&B singer was in the middle of a song when he abruptly walked off-stage, only to come back in tears!
He complained of feeling ill and was unable to continue. He promised to return at a later date before exiting stage right to the sound of a very emotionally mixed audience.
What could have happened? Swine flu???
He didn't look that sick to us!

I was at the concert in MEN Manchester and had really good seats right at the side of the stage. NeYo did not look well at. There was no need for the boos. We got to see more than half of the concert and for us to be able to go back and watch NeYo on top form will be great. Get In NeYo…what a star x

NeYo said he was ill as soon as he come on and as the night went on looked worse. He done at least half of the concert and is still going to come back and do it again. he's a legend in my eyes and deserves a medal for doing as much as he did

Me and my friend were 3 rows from the front and i felt so sorry for him. so what if he cried, its his job its what he loves and he felt like he had let us down. if you listen to his performances he did that night you can see hes struggling he couldnt hit the high notes and had to let the audience sing. i saw him perform when he was supporting pcd and hes amazing so its obvious he was ill! i hope he gets better and reschedules

I was at that concert, and although he was ill it was an AMAZING show.
Keri Hilson, Esmee Denters and Neyo were soo good and I was upset that he couldn't finish, but I still thought the show was of an excellent standard and hopefully they will live up to their promise and put on the show again.

.P.S. I think that it was better that he didn't cancel the show before it started because he wanted to please his fans, as he said at the beginning of the concert, he was like "I must really love you guys to come out here tonight because I am really not feeling good, but bear with me".
He was crying because he didn't want to cancel and he was really upset that he had to because he couldn't physically do it.
But the cheers he had were so loud, and yeah people booed, but not because they were angry more because they were upset that he was ill and couldn't finish the show as well as he had started it.
But altogether it was a fantastic concert.
