Ouch! Oprah Slipping!!!!
Is Oprah losing her touch? Or are all her viewers just taking a nap through her shows now?
Hard to say why it is, but the Big O is having a problem with her ratings: they suck!
In the last five years, the talk show queen's viewership as gone down 32%, nearly a third. Plus, her ratings for the week of July 4th were the lowest the show ever had since 1983!
Yikes!
Of course, if you factor in that it was a holiday week, the show is in reruns, and Michael Jackson coverage was dominating the airwaves, it doesn't seem so bad. But industry analysts are wondering if the "O" can hold onto her TV throne much longer. Says one, "She can last for as long as she wants to last. But it gets to the point where fans might be getting a little tired of her show."
That's true, but what she really needs to do is just get some more jacked-up, crazy, couch-jumping kind of guests on. That'll bring in more ratings!
We're sure she'll be fine, though. C'mon, it's Oprah!

Last weekend, at the grocery store, looking at the mini mags (you know like Prevention). One of them had "Oprah Weight Loss Tips Inside". Come again? Oprah needs to quit giving out weight loss advice.

There was a time when Mike Douglas, Merv Griffin and Phil Donahue were IT as far as talk shows go. They were the Oprah of their day, but they had their time and Oprah as had hers. I think most folks are tired of her.
How about how she puts herself on the cover of every issue of her magazine?! I know it's her magazine, she can do whatever she wants, but talk about narcissistic!!
It's because they're airing re-runs, i dvr all her shows, except re-runs. She'll get her swag back when the new season begins, and Oprah doesn't need to work another day in her life, so who cares about ratings?!!!!!

Many MANY people were disappointed in her failure to issue a statement regarding Michael Jackson's death. Given that he granted her a rare interview (which helped secure her status today), she is now viewed by many as simply an ungrateful opportunist and not the saint we all thought she was.
Very sad. I had more respect for her than was warranted, I guess.

I stopped watching her show about 3 years ago because of her arrogance and promoting politicians and authors she hand-picked. Such a controlling diva…shoving her opinions down viewers' throats like she some sort of authority. She even opened a school to shape girls the way she wants - and claim she "made" them. What an ego trip! It's sickening. Really arrogant stuff.

Tell the truth and shame the DEVIL. Oprah's show is on summer hiatus. No one is concerned with her ratings now. Unlike a lot of other talk-show host wish they could achieve the numbers Oprah has. Oprah's is a sales woman and as long as she can get people to still consume she'll be okay. She was the highest paid celebrity on Forbes list so c'mon now. I think people are jumping on the Oprah hate train a lot recently. But as mom said, "Don't hate the player. Hate the game." So learn from Oprah the true Queen of All Media.
I definitely stopped watching as much as I used to since she introduced The Secret.. I mean, THINK things into existance? a week of trying that and you realized it's a crock.

I stopped watching when it became apparent she had gone Hollywood and lost her connection with the regular people. She gushes over Hollywood stars and excuses their bad behavior (when Sting left his wife for their neighbor Trudi, Oprahs said it was "true love" and did not call him out on his adultery with his and his wife's neighbor!) and although she is very generous with some of her wealth, she lives a life that separates her from the people who watch her show.
I credit her for staying normal for so many years but fame and fortune finally took their toll.

the real test will be in the fall when she has new shows. personally i think allot of people are sick of hearing how this billionair likes to suggest how the common folk can live a better life.
I don't think she featured any burn victims this last sweeps period. And that's been a staple of her sweeps shows for years. Maybe she should get back to the old tried and true.
Oprah needs to quit taking herself so seriously and let her fun side show like it used to.

She has always stayed out of politics and kept her views to herself, but if you think about it that is when people started backing away from her. I have been over her for years personally.
Oprah is all talked out and she knows it.. In fact; she seems bored half of the time, isn't near as good as an interviewer as she used to be, interrupts the experts frequently (big know-it-all) and there are less guests on the show. The Skype-thing may be cost effective but it's impersonal and is boring..
And yeah; she's got billions and billions of dollars so in the end it won't hurt her at all.

The show might not be at its best but Oprah is a sweetheart… I love the woman.
During the last year she openly supported Barack Hussein Obama. There is no doubt that turned off many white viewers. The man is a communist — an America hater — and he voted against the Born Alive Infant Protection Act. His political agenda is to destroy our economy, bankrupt generations to make us all poor, and to keep all power and money in the hands of a few. We will have no freedom. If that ain't enough to turn off viewers I don't know what is.

At some point we all get tired of hearing about HER, Weight ups and downs - Weight shows, more weight shows, food shows - dang - make up your mind already. MOVE ON! Her lame attempt at her version of The View on Fridays turned me off. I liked the Oprah and Gayle Road Trip shows - maybe she needs to hit the road again.

my mom was watching her randomly the other day .. and sense the last time i saw her on tv , she gained alot of weight .
& i think people are mad cause when she interviewed MJ it was the most viewers she's ever had , and she didnt bother going to the memorial .
